If Dallas had kept Amari Cooper?

Coulda....shoulda....woulda. Let's just say Dallas never let Cooper go. Regardless in how he's doing in Cleveland now. Don't you guys think that Cooper being here opens it up for other receivers? They were the number 1 offense last season. What's different? No Cooper and yes Dak has been out. They let Cooper go with no real backup plan to replace him. Without a doubt, Dallas needs to go a WR in the draft. That's the difference in making this offense great. It's not an inept Dak. He had 37 tds to 10 ints. That's not bad at all.

They would be incredible had they kept Cooper.
NO! we are now run first mostly Dak was out in time we can possibly pass more but this is whom we are by design, we aren't missing Cooper,. you already knew the vanilla dumbed down stripped play calling from the playbook with Rush is why we dont have top offense.

they will scale it up some as dak gets comfortable, Washington gets back and opponents call for a bit more passing after the bye.. EF stats, ok, ef rankings, 5-2 is all that matters.. cooper is not missed we changed our offense for now.

This is absolutely false. This offense isn't even close to being the same without him. We traded for him for a reason. He came in and turned a 3-5 team into a division winner and divisional round playoff team. When he's on the field, every single receiver out there is boosted up. Teams had to focus on him and double him. This freed up Lamb, Gallup, Schultz, Wilson and whomever else. He was their security place.

Did you see the games he missed last year? Offense was putrid.

The guys we have now aren't good enough to elevate anyone. Lamb is a #2 at best. Maybe even a 3.
Disagree, A LOT has changed in this offense not just AC.. is is mostly Dak going down and Rush running a very runcentric offensne. ,. rookie LT, LG is in flux, only playing 7 games so far. so it will; open up bit more down the road we DO NOT MISS HIM but keep up his fan club..im sure you take pride in it.

I would rather have him than not, but I'd also rather our pass blocking be better. I think there are opportunities the team is just not playing as well as preferred.

Like I said, it helps the other receivers open up.
IN what we aren't giving them targets we are run first not running many wrs in each pass set more TE heavy. So NO we dont miss him.,.lets play al 17 talk about ranking and nonsense. he was even our leading wr last year and just made too much money. Its blessing in disguise all this happened, ac and Ced leaving, dak going down etc MOORE sees now Running is a positive, not an inconvenience,

Play defense at high leave, ST adds value , does their job, have a ball control offense, unless otherwise necessary. I believe with Dak as he gets back in groove can still keep us in games that will require more points..

Having cooper absolutely helped the other guys with not being double covered as much. But KM and Dak don't really scheme to get a #1 guy open. They more of less make the receivers work harder to get open where as kupp, chase, jefferson etc get moved around a little more and get put in an alignment that forces them to be more 1 on 1 at times. This is why the Jonses say they don't or need want a goto guy. KM needs to do a better job of having at least 1 of Cd or Gallup isolated because I think they can beat 1 on 1 coverage.

The revisionist history is hilarious

Amari a #1 receiver putting up 60 catches/900 yds making $20m is the missing link from putting this offense over the top

“He opened things up for CD and Gallup!!”

How many true WRs out there are getting outproduced by another WR on the same team??

Hill?
Kupp?
Adams?
Jefferson?
Chase?
Diggs?
Deebo?

Only one i can think of was Metcalf last year
Except the QBs throwing for those WRs you just listed are better than Dak.

There was a tweet on March 7th about Amari Cooper saying that to Dak after the SF playoff loss in what was described as a heated 'spat'.....on March 16th Amari Cooper was traded to Cleveland.....so you be the judge as to whether this is coincidence or not.

That can't be. I heard Dak and Amari were supposed to be unstoppable after practicing in Dak's backyard football field...

Heck, after TB game in week 1, Dak couldn't find Amari at all when teams tightened up and didn't leave him alone on an island with a DB playing 10 yards off him and no safety help for Dak and him could play pitch and catch like TB did. Cooper Rush comes in and throws for 325 yards, hits him for 8 catches on 13 targets for 122 yards and the game winning TD.

YES, YES, and YES. He commands attention by the defense. That is why our passing game is suffering.

It was dumb for the FO not to replace him or Cedric Wilson. They need to get a receiver now. I would really consider trading for DJ Moore from Carolina. Strike while the iron is hot!!

I have no problem with dropping him but the process that we went through when we dropped him was horrible. We barely got a return in compensation and we also should have gotten someone to replace him instead of relying on CD and an injured Gallup to step up to the plate. Not to mention Cedrick Wilson leaving. If we had traded or drafted a WR, I don’t think there would be as much noise about Amari’s trade.
We did draft a WR in the 2022 draft.

No.
We are fine and would be no different with or without him.
His production had dropped off the past 1 1/2 years he was here.
Not true. His best statistical year was 2020 without Dak. He was a big reason Rush beat Vikings. So it how you use him vs. not using him or not having him.

My recollect is Dak became unhappy with Cooper. I might be wrong. Cooper is moody and some high octane players aren’t mixing well in the locker room

Kellen would have him running those 20 yard comebacks like everyone else
