If Dallas had kept Amari Cooper?

Not true. His best statistical year was 2020 without Dak. He was a big reason Rush beat Vikings. So it how you use him vs. not using him or not having him.

A lot of his stats came from Dak pre injury.
I think he was forced fed the targets a well after the injury
Need to look at the stats but not home right now to do so.

QBs passer rating when targeting #Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (via @PF):
2019: 102.8
2020:105.1
2021: 95.8
2022: 47.4

He's not fully healthy, with that rating why throw at him at all.

So his only bad year is this year when he is returning from a serious injury and has played three games.

Our offense/passing game would be much better had we kept him. We all saw how he improved our offense when we traded for him in 2018. He’s one of the main reasons our offense has dipped so much from last season. The Cowboys are currently 28th in offense and continue to drop. We had the number one offense in the league last season and have completely plummeted and it’s mostly because of our lack of a passing game. No team has ever won a championship with an offense ranked this low. We’re not productive and we’re not scoring many points. It’s very difficult to pull away from an opponent when you’re kicking mostly FGs. We’re winning games because of our defense.
The starting QB out for 5 and half games might have effected that ranking.

With a backup QB, we’ve adopted a 3 yard and a cloud of dust offense that’s stuck in the mud and can’t score much. We’re too fixated on running the ball and aren’t passing enough, which is keeping our score down. It seems like every game we’re in a 10-6 battle heading into the 4th quarter. We simply don’t have good enough receivers. The loss of Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson has taken a big bite out of our offense.

Coulda....shoulda....woulda. Let's just say Dallas never let Cooper go. Regardless in how he's doing in Cleveland now. Don't you guys think that Cooper being here opens it up for other receivers? They were the number 1 offense last season. What's different? No Cooper and yes Dak has been out. They let Cooper go with no real backup plan to replace him. Without a doubt, Dallas needs to go a WR in the draft. That's the difference in making this offense great. It's not an inept Dak. He had 37 tds to 10 ints. That's not bad at all.

They would be incredible had they kept Cooper.
We’d average 29 a gave abd lamb would get force fed

I respect Cooper, but he isn't reliable in big games and some away games.

If Dallas kept Amari Cooper we woulnd't have room for Tank, Parsons, CeeDee, Diggs, etcetera in the future.

That, and Amari was about Amari. These guys are all team players.

Amari is gone.

This is what you call "whatifery."

This offense was never great. They still had issues with Cooper. They got 9 points against the Chiefs. Couldn't score against the Broncos or 49ers. Other games with agonizingly slow starts as well. Putting up 100 points against teams that are using backups is nothing to brag about. But it counts towards our overall offense.

No.
We are fine and would be no different with or without him.
His production had dropped off the past 1 1/2 years he was here.

It's amazing how running wide open thru a secondary every week translates to
"his production had dropped off".

Amari Cooper is playing well with a backup QB... in Cleveland, of all places.

I have no problem with dropping him but the process that we went through when we dropped him was horrible. We barely got a return in compensation and we also should have gotten someone to replace him instead of relying on CD and an injured Gallup to step up to the plate. Not to mention Cedrick Wilson leaving. If we had traded or drafted a WR, I don’t think there would be as much noise about Amari’s trade.

I agree, but we did draft a WR - Tolbert. No idea why they don't use him or even dress him. No idea where he played college ball, or if he's any good at all. I guess thats all Jerry had in mind for a replacement. Saved him a ton of cash, but sure weakened the offense.

Now if Cooper really did call Dak the Black Kirk Cousins then I can see why they decided to move on. Has that ever been confirmed or is it just a rumor?
Never heard that until now, if it really happened you would think that would have leaked out by someone in all this time. Didn't him not getting the VAX and missing those games get Jerry down on him and decide he's not worth the 20 million?

Cooper was the man for Rush in that Viking game last year.
If we could afford it, we definitely should have kept him. Ceedee is the only legit receiver on the team. Everyone else is less than a JAG in my opinion.

Well have plenty of time to discuss Amari in the off season. We have tons of football left to see if the FO made the right decision or not.

jerry got mad at amari, and amari wasnt a butt kisser, so they got rid of him.
also jerry thinks lamb is a # 1 so they didnt need amari.

Lamb isnt a good #1 , but jerry will soon pay him like one.
The best wr this season has been noah brown, but jerry wants the targets going to his boys, gallup and lamb.
add to that kellen being a OC in training, and you have a lackluster offense.

This is why cowboys will never get back to a SB.

true, and amari cant be really evaluated till ding dong massage boy starts playing again.
in his last game 7
Amari Cooper 3 c for 74 ydd 24.7 avg 0 55yds long 4 targets
better than lamb ??
CeeDee Lamb 4 c for 70yds 17.5 avg 0 24 long 6 targets

I think amari wins week 7 way better avg and long on less targets.

also checked and massage boy his suspension is over but he did not start wk 7 ??
they also forbid him from getting massages from anyone other than browns staff lol.
thats pitiful and kinda funny!:lmao2:

Life don't give take backs. 7 billion people wishes it did, but it doesn't.

It's hard to get something of high value in return for an item when the other side know that you are eager to git rid of it.

Peepee slap was suspended for 11 games. He's eligible to come back when the Brownies play Houston.
