Sure because it helps me get information and discuss the team. That is besides the point that guessing season outcomes in May is colossal uninformed waste of time.

Setting expectations at this point is an emotional exercise and nothing more.

I don't feel the least bit emotional about it!!!

Okay, maybe a little emotional. But is that so wrong?

I was posting about our record. The Lee injury had no impact on my view.

There is no denying Lee's impact on this defense. He was clearly the best player on that side of the ball. His loss will be felt.

What a cluster.

See that's why I started this thread. Because your expectations for this season should drive how you look at it. If you didn't expect them to contend with Lee on the field, then you should be looking at this as a good thing. It's a chance to develop the players behind him and if said players don't develop, it sends a clear message to the front office that they are gonig to need to up their insurance policy on Lee.

Has no impact for me. This team's success will hinge on the players sitting behind the key starters and our pass rush in general. We will see more injuries but so will our opponents. Our defense couldnt crack an eggshell when he was in. Love Lee but I don't think he could change our record on a 32nd ranked caliber defense like the one we have.

This isn't even two steps forward one step back... This is one step forward two steps back. Every single year.

Yeah it might take us from 8-8 to 7-9 or 6-10. I would just rather get a top 5 draft pick, much like KC has rebuilt. They had a lot of good pieces and some good drafts now they are a force. Jerry hands out bad deals left and right so we have no hope of building thru free agency.

It's not like we'd have much hope building through the draft either. A top 5 pick? That might be nice, but remember, Claiborne was taken 6th. Not to mention how Jerry likes to throw around 2nd/3rd round picks and reach for players in the 4th.

Bottomline is you have to know how to draft and work the draft. Even good teams find ways to have good drafts with picks at the bottom of each round. Bad teams find ways to blow picks even when drafting high. Seeing Jerry's drafts the last 20 years, I don't know if it'll matter much where we pick.

KC is going nowhere . You wait and see.
People figured them out the second half of last year .

Not saying Dallas will do any better, but KC could easily take a step back.

There's some vet FA's out there just waiting to break a leg too. Might has well start calling them.

So, you don't see any positive change in the types of decisions the Cowboys have been making?

It's not necessarily a career ender. People like McGahee and plenty of others have had this.

As for the impact, it's huge. All those INTs he gets are massive for this team. Now we're most likely going to have a very ordinary player there... Unless Carter moves there and steps up, which could happen.

This past offseason, I actually agreed with the decisions the Cowboys made. Hopefully that continues. Granted, the cap situation forced their hands to an extent, but I'm hoping that's not the only reason.
