If Romo threw that pick 6 like Manning...

Just curious, but does anyOne know if Manning or Wayne is to blame on that INT?
Hard to say. If it was an option route at all, the obvious call was to go over top, instead of inside (no safety help and the corner was playing short inside). I remember seeing Wayne hesitate, but I'm not sure if that indicates he thought it would be a top route.

Either way, a double move there is a touchdown.

I could Manning was getting antsy.

I told me father about 2 minutes before that Manning was going to do a Favre.

I saw that too. I like Manning, but to say he is the greatest ever and to utter that he's better than Montana is simply foolish. And a lot of experts were saying that the past two weeks.

The Saints called a blitz, so it was suppose to be a hot read. I don't think Wayne got out of his break in time and across the corner's face.

Still, Porter was reading Peyton's eyes. He (Peyton) had to have seen that.

I'm sorry, but if you're the "greatest ever" you simply can't make that interception there.

Ok. If Romo won a SB like Manning, people would be saying it was inspite of Romo and not because of Romo. There you go.

Look, if Romo wins a Super Bowl, I don't care what they say about him. ;)

a double move there and Manning is sacked.

if Wayne doesn't stop it's at worst an incomplete pass and maybe an interference.

I hear you. For the record my post was in jest. :)

Saints deserved the SB..Beating the vikings and the Colts. Hell yea much respect from me.

In all fairness, the Colts would not even be a playoff team without Manning serving as their HC/QB. That team was sprinkled pretty sparsely with talent outside the QB position.

Manning's a great QB, but to suggest this is wrong IMO.

Are you saying another great QB couldnt do similar things?

And to suggest they have little talent outside the QB position is a joke. Alot of people would kill for their skill players. Their OL hardly lets him ever get touched and their defense has two elite pass rushers. They have two of the premier offensive coaches in football too in Moore and Mudd.

Yeah...I was think the same thing. Yahoo front page called it a blunder...if it had been Romo it would have been called a Choke.

No doubt about it. Romo's one of the media's favorite whipping boys. He had to be basically flawless this year before they gave him any credit. Then they jumped all over him when his line failed him.

Don't get me wrong, I think Manning is an all-time great, but I watched that game amazed at how little pressure he faced. He had all day. Put Manning, Brady, etc. behind our line and I doubt they go any further than we did.

I was somewhat glad new Orleans won, but it hurt knowing that we beat them and that could have been us in the SB. I think New Orleans might have been the 3rd best team in the NFC. The Vikings and Cowboys were more complete/balanced teams. 2 out of the past 3 years that certainly could have been us there in the SB.

Man, I hope we don't waste another opportunity next year.

Timing on that pass play was poor and Manning made a mistake on a well covered WR. Funny all the praise and money in the world will never stop these QB's from being human and as long as humans play the game mistakes even by the best will happen.

he would get neutered by this board quicker than you can say who dat. ESPN would blast him. I bet they give Manning an excuse.

:lmao:
True dat.

But Manning played a helluva game, nevertheless. Brees was a little bit better though.

And the Colts Superbowl run when they did win it was in spite of Manning.

That was on Wayne all day
Wayne also had the the ball hit him in the hands for a TD on the last drive.
He's great, but did not have a great game.

You've got to hang some of that on Wayne. That was a weak sell on his route. Just like the alligator arms he got on the last pass at the goal line.
