first of all both of them have no ring , neither have done much in the playoffs , and prescott on a ten win playoff team..how does that make LJ higher qualified what 2 games better wins and losses are Team game.. his low number show his TEAM is doing more for him in the record category, Daks clearly playing better as a QB and his tyeam led to the less wins ..odd huh?irony its team game but with a what we know is actually an individual accolade getting MVP prescotts better.Wins > Stats. That’s what they play for.
you do mean that the ravens defense got 4 turnovers and four sacks they won that game do they get the MVP.. what did daks defense do in any of these road losses? Why do some of you care more about Dak winning MVP vs dallas winning as a team ?
MVP is not based on stats …. which are bloated based on schedule matchups.
Lamar went into SF and handed out a whooping ….. where did Dak go into and hand out a much needed road win this season? Carolina ?
I get it though he should be handed the MVP ….
Yes...Lamar made those 5 ints...amazing performance. This is yet another case of you numbers people getting lost in the numbers. This award is not about the best stats, it's about which guy has the biggest impact on his team's winning moments. If you haven't seen all of Lamar Jackson's games then you are biased to pick Dak as MVP, but in reality, Lamar is the best option. Dak is overshadowed by Larmar in those moments when winning plays are made. In a nutshell, Lamar has won more. Had the Cowboys beat the Dolphins and the Ravens lost to the 49ers, this story would probably be different. It's that close in competition.
Dak showed up. Many of his teammates didn't.
That said, how it will actually play out vs how long the player is playing in the playoffs, who the heck knows...
..this comes down to who goes further in post season.
Since when? When is the last time a QB didn't have the best numbers and didn't win? OPOY has always been for the non QB positionsIt’s not a stats trophy, that’s OPOY
Yes, the Raven's defense played well too but that doesn't diminish what Lamar is doing. What you are saying is Dak wouldn't have a chance in hell to win MVP if the Cowboys' defense was playing lights out. I disagree.Yes...Lamar made those 5 ints...amazing performance.
I'm not sure what he is doing that is so amazing? He literally isn't top 3 in any category and is at least 8 total tds behind Dak. Dak beats him in every category passing, by a wide margin.Yes, the Raven's defense played well too but that doesn't diminish what Lamar is doing. What you are saying is Dak wouldn't have a chance in hell to win MVP if the Cowboys' defense was playing lights out. I disagree.
Good point when discussing Lamar Jackson tooI couldn't care less about the MVP award. It's as meaningless to me as how many Pro Bowlers the Cowboys get.
Win something more than the occasional wild card game. Team success.
Nobody holds a parade for individual awards. There are reasons for that.
It’s hard to argue that CMC is the MVP when he had a great game and they got blown out. Is he the best player on the 49ers? Yes. However, he is not the most valuable as he can’t make the difference between the offense clicking and not. I would argue Trent Williams is more valuable than CMC to the 49ers.Dak isn't getting it.
Fair or not dropping the last two games takes him out of the running unless the other guys crap the bed rest of season.
No qbs are really separating. Maybe CMC or Tyreek should be MVP...
You mean Romo can call Dak so Dak can laugh him off the phone since Dak is about to surpass Romo's career postseason wins, plus break most, if not all, of Romo's franchise records. If he needs help with that issue he can call Romo so that Tony can laugh him off the phone. There are going to be games when QBs need to step up and win a game or 2. Unfortunately, we don't seem to win those games when it's put on the shoulders of 4.
