If the offense struggles again and we somehow lose again

If Dez doesn't fumble, there's a good chance they would have got some things rolling on that last drive. Dak has a knack for coming on late. But the fumble prevented that chance. Could have been a completely different story without the fumble.
Dak had four drives in the final 10 minutes of the game to get things going. He went 4 for 11 with one first down. I don't think that one fumble was the problem.

Its possible, the Tampa Bay D defense has made some offenses look silly and elementary over the last month or so.

If they make our offense look silly it could be back to reality for Dak on the sidelines as the backup where he was suppose to be until he made the most of an opportunity. It's a must that he plays well on Sunday night and we win for him to keep his or the Cowboys will likely seriously consider starting Romo against Detroit. Panic is going to set in if Dak and the team don't look good against Detroit.

Is it a real possibility they go back to romo for the lions game? I could see it happening, especially with jerrys comments lately.

If we struggle because of Dak? Or because of our running game (Zeke 2nd half vs Giants), OL pass protection poor last few games, recievers not getting separation (Dez too), etc. Romo hasn't played in a game with full contact in awhile (practice qb's don't get hit).

How many times do we need this thread?

The answer is the same every time, it depends. Is it just him or is it still almost the entire offense? And what is considered struggling?
And what happens if Tony comes in and we still struggle. Go to Sanchez? I guess just hold up the white flag and surrender.

If Prescott continues to struggle reading coverage, have poor footwork, and the ensuing terrible accuracy I would be surprised if Romo didn't get a shot to do better.

Hopefully, Dak is able to improve but midseason with mechanical issues that can be difficult.

He's also not going to learn now in the season to take risks to thread the needle and throw WRs open like Romo already knows how to do and overcome the conservative nature..

If... What an incredible word.

It gives legitimacy to so much worry & pain.

I prefer "when".

It's a much more definitive and inspirational word.

When our offense gets back on track and we beat Tampa tomorrow night....

Finish that for me please sir.

Thanks,

Your good buddy the optimist.

How long did it take Romo in 2014 to "Knock off the rust" and start playing with some strength again?

1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7+ Games?

Murray carried the team for a while...

Give Zeke 40 touches and we will easily win this game. Enough is enough. Makes me sick how we don't get him involved in the passing game. He should be getting minimum 30 carries a game and at least 10 targets
What if Zeek gets those 40 touches and gets 60 yards

Can Dak's pure passing ability in the pocket win this game?

I would love to see that

He needs to be able to take off running once in a while to get first downs and keep the chains moving. He has the ability to be a pocket passer but why limit his game if it's not there?

its too late for tony that should of been done when he was completely healthy whatever they do will depend on how dak is able to handle it a rookie qb has never won a superbowl and I really don't think it willstart this year this was handled wrong from the start

It would have to be a demoralizing loss. A game where we were slapped down right out the gate & they never let up on us. Dak would also have to play part in that loss, with a game as bad, if not worse than last week for any thought of sticking Romo back in there. I don't see a loss like that happening this week. IF we were to lose, it would be in the same fashion as the 2 Giants losses, in a very close game.

Still questionable.. Dallas success with Dak is primarily built off play-action. It's not built off the traditional 3-5 and 7 step drop...

I'm not an advocate of hamstringing a gifted athlete. He needs to be able to do both. We're not talking about a Peyton Manning type of player here he's more like a Warren Moon or a Donovan McNabb.

Moon was a gifted passing QB playing out a run and shoot and could throw the ball. McNabb was know to throw duds, but he played in a West Coast with TO and could throw the deep ball, though his accuracy at times was questionable.

I'm not sure of either comparison is valid.

Nobody is limiting him I think. His limitations as a rookie are apparent, but you have to, in this league, be primarily a pocket passer.
