Well from the reports it was a three team trade and Cutler would have went to the Bucs and not the Chiefs.
i was not reffering to that

im saying if the chiefs were smart they would give denver what they wanted, cassell a mediocore qb and get a stud in cutler.

it would be a major steal. hes not even in the same class as the reasons i stated before as cutler

From what I hear, here in Denver, Denver will just out right release Cutler. Not yet having confidence in Chris Simms, McDaniels and Bowlen have decided to sign the other Jay Cutler as a replacement.

Who knows for sure if KC even wanted Whine-bag Cutler to re-build that franchise. From what I'm seeing they made the right decision with Cassel. Cutler has taken this entire situation horribly.

Yea every time I look on ESPN it seems like Cutler is making another bad move and another dumb comment. Business is business man. Plain and simple.

Right now he looks like the biggest crybaby in the NFL. He's got a Head Coach who turned a guy who never even played in college into a coveted QB and he's upset? Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

what the hell is wrong with the chiefs:confused:

i understand scott got his guy cassell but come on how do you pass up a chance to get a real stud like cutler

no way im not on the phone 1st thing in the morning saying you want cassell that bad here he goes.

i would trade him straight up for jay cutler.

cassell isnt even in the same class as cutler. cassell struggled against the better teams in the nfl and had problems all yr throwing down field.

he had a lot of inflated passing yards as a result of the pats using their passing game as a way to run. a lot of yards late in the yr came after the catch and and againgst poor pass defenses. cassell is a medicore qb at best

Cutler for Cassell in a heartbeat.

That's the real feeling here in Co. The general consensus is that he's a big baby and the Broncos should cut ties with him. I think that McDaniel's has a good deal of confidence in Simms though and I wouldn't be surprised if a McDaniels/Simms team outperformed the Shannahan/Cutler years.

Divorce in Denver Inevitable?

Mike Klis reports in the Denver Post it now appears a real possibility the two sides are headed for a divorce based on irreconcilable differences.

"I'm very disappointed," Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said Sunday of the feud between his quarterback and first-year coach. "I'm disappointed in the whole picture, not just disappointed that we might lose our star quarterback."

Asked to clarify, Bowlen said he is steadfastly supports his new coach and his disappointment lies in the way Cutler has handled the situation.

Friction between Cutler and McDaniels appears to have escalated following a meeting Saturday. Attending the meeting were Cutler, his agent Bus Cook, McDaniels and Broncos general manager Brian Xanders.

The Broncos say no ultimatums were given during the Saturday meeting, which the team characterized as mild-mannered, with no raised voices. However, no reconciliation was reached.
Like my momma always said, "There IS always someone worse off than you so be thankful for what you have." It must suck to be a Broncos fan right now.

Now why didn't she have something as insightful regarding the stock market?!? :)

They should offer him to Detroit if they really aren't sold on Stafford. Detroit gets a proven vet QB and can cut ties to some questionable vets. Denver can groom Stafford. Win/win.

Send all the whiners to Detroit and let them realize they NEVER had anything to legitimate to whine about before.

Quite a few people are on board with that idea. The McDaniel's draft strategy has been very quiet though, no one knows how much they like Stafford. McDaniel's experience has been that 6th and 7th round QBs can succeed in the right system, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he placed his bets with Simms. It would allow him to get more picks out of the trade and he could make his mark o the team sooner.

This isn't hard to figure out.

When you shop your franchise QB, bad things happen if you don't sell him.

... you don't shop your franchise QB unless you are set on getting rid of him.

Everyone who has paid attention knows this, don't they?

I don't think the Lions would trade their #1 overall, but would trade the one we sent them in the RW trade. The #18 overall? I wonder if the Broncos would go for that? They should be able to get either Sanchez or Freeman in that spot and have Chris Simms start for the upcoming year.....suddenly, that trade is starting to sound less good to me...

Denver wouldn't do the trade for anything outside of a top 10 pick.

Sorry gang, but Jay is right in this situation. I know everyone wants to pile on and beat him about the head and face, so to speak, about the seemingly endless supply of girlieman quotes but at the end of the day the horsies are wrong and the girlieman is right.

Translation: If you point that gun at me you had better kill me! If you shoot me itll just make me really really really mad and he consequences will be worse for you!

Translation II: Dont put on a condem unless you are going to...well...you know.....

Translation III: Bowlen and company just had a V8 moment and realized they are going to be watching their franchise QB taking snaps and handing the ball off to Adrian Peterson! At least now he has an NFL caliber running back rather than that mess that shanny stuck him with in Denver!

POST NOTE: Feel bad for the real estate agent who was about to sell Jay that 70 Acres in Colorado. Bet they could have used that commission check with things being what they are these days!

Listening to a legitimate offer doesn't exactly equate to pulling a gun. The reason why people are piling on Cutler is because he's behaving like a child. The situation is ridiculously out of control, and it's beyond me why either party can't put a lid on it unless one party really doesn't want a lid on it.

Yeah, I wouldn't either but I was just wondering if the situation in Denver is just too toxic now to stand pat or take the best offer available?

The Breaking News on ESPN News is Cutler officially has asked for a trade. I keep getting a feeling he will end up in Minny, lets all hope not thats all they need is a competent QB to be Super Bowl favorites.

as do i. a 1st and chestor taylor that way they get a capable 1000 plus yard back and a 1st to draft Sanchez with

Oh, I think that the best offer would be in the top 10 picks. Cutler is a young QB who has already proven himself to a certain extent.

The Lions could take him, clearly.
The Rams could take him, as Bulger is 31 years old.
Seattle could take him, as Hasselbeck is 33.
Jacksonville has a 31 year old David Garrard who is just average as a starter.
San Fran. has the # 10 pick with the recently renegotiated Alex Smith.

Half of the top 10 teams could use a QB of Cutlers ability, I would bet that they seal a deal with one of them.
