If we go 9-8 to end the season with Rush, should there be a QB controversy?

If Jerruh had been the owner of the Patriots when Bledsoe and Tom Brady were both on the team, he would have let Tom Brady go back to the bench and would have handed the job right back to Bledsoe after he healed, just because of the contract Bledsoe was getting paid for....even after learning how good Brady was.

If that answers your question

He didn't do that with Romo in 2016.

If this team ends up finishing 9-8 to end the regular season, should there be a QB controversy? It would be something to behold to see Cooper Rush bringing us to a 9-8 record after a dismal 3-5 start. You almost have to consider benching Dak at that point. What say you Cowboys?!
Would love to find out!

9-8 would be horrible for us. We would miss the playoffs and have lower draft position. Maybe if the Cowboys go 10-7 and Rush looks like Philly’s backup when they win the Super Bowl and we win a few playoff games. So no……

Like I said before..... Rush is a serviceable backup and nothing more. Please stop putting his name in the same conversation with starting level quarterbacks.

Cooper Rush has not looked good, but the team has played better since he took over. That's not necessarily a positive for Rush, but it does raise questions as to why they look better with the $60m man on the sidelines. We have to bring in a legit QB2 if not this coming offseason, within the next two seasons to compete with Dak. Imagine what this team would look like with an extra $57.5m to work with. Crazy.

Both of them are mediocre at best. Neither should be starters! Problem is we paid mediocre Dak 240 million! Stupid!!!!!

I doubt the Cowboys will go 9-8 after tonight's game. Could lose to the Panthers who took the Eagles to the brink. And will probably lose to the Bucs and definitely to the Eagles. With the Commanders game being one they could lose as well.

There is no true QB controversy which would ever develop with Cooper Rush not being able to consistently lead an offense to scoring above 20 points per game. As he still needs a defense who can hold teams to under 20 and needs for the special teams and defense to assist him with TDs in order to win games with him as the QB.

The only way a true QB controversy develops is for there to be a QB who can consistently put up the stats/numbers which are equally as good if not better than the ones Dak has put up at his best. And for that QB to be able to have the Cowboys offense producing near the top of the NFL as far as scoring goes. And it would also take a QB who would actually be able to carry the Cowboys past the divisional round which no QB has been able to do for the Cowboys in the last 30 seasons.
