If we kept Quinn over McCarthy

Quinn would have been at the mercy of Jerry and his flawed system and so would not have had the success like he has had in Washington. He has been able to use the high draft picks and aggressive FA signings to turn them around very quickly. They still aren’t there yet, but they are looking at a brighter future than the Cowboys right now.
Yea we wouldnt even bring in Bobby Wagner smh

most of us after that GB loss were so upset at Quinn that we couldn't wait to see him leave. I recall. We were right to feel that way. He phoned it in as did the defense. I'm still leery of him. Give it 2 more years and lets see how DQ is doing up in Washington. Im happy for him, but he basically helped throw a game in order to get his way.

The game was over at half time, the second half didn’t matter. Dak turning the ball over in the boys redzone giving the packers a short field and also throwing a pick six was the game. Dak alone made the game 14-0 for the packers. Can blame the defense all you want but they only really gave up 14 points in the first half if you remove the Dak turnovers and they might have even played more inspired if the offense did anything WHEN IT MATTERED.

We would have been better of hiring someone else completely. Quinn isnt awful, but he is downgrade from McCarthy
Please. Quinn isn't awful? Quinn willbe kicking our arse for the next couple years, at least.

If Ifs and butts were candy and nuts we would all have a good Christmas.

Based on what?
McCarthy was the laughing stock of the NFL after GB and if it wasn't for Quinn he would have been canned here after year 2.
Based on his head coaching career lol. He had one really good year, but was a .500 coach Atlanta. He had a good year this year, but beat three winning teams and two playoff teams(counting the WC). 2024 could very easily turn into a mirage for Washington

Mirage or a championship appearance, BTW I'd count three years in Dallas as "good years" for Quinn as they wouldn't have been good years without him.
He took over crap teams in Atl and Washington and turned them around that's the sigh of a good coach.
McCarthy came to Dallas and made a decent team garbage, until Quinn arrived.

Interesting question. I wonder if Quinn had been promoted to HC over MM, would they have kept Armstrong, Fowler and Biadasz? It's impossible to know but I think keeping those defensive guys might have helped.

Quinn seems to be a lucky guy though. He comes to Dallas in 2021 as DC and they wind up drafting Micah Parsons. Parsons turns out to be an immediate impact player on defense, and a game changer. Quinn's defense impresses out of the box.

Then Quinn goes to Washington, and they draft Jayden Daniels at QB. Washington had the 2nd pick in the draft and took the 2nd QB of the draft. He turned out to be a game changer, immediate impact player, and way ahead of the 1st QB taken, Caleb Williams. Without Daniels playing the way he did, who thinks Washington would have had a winning record? I don't think even Washington expected to be where they are this year.

I don't even want Quinn as a DC.

Has everybody forgotten about his style of smaller fast guys that got mauled at the line of scrimmage?

I don't like his football idealogy at all

The team Quinn took further than any Cowboys team has made it in the past 30 years?
Quinn didn't take them anywhere. Matt Ryan and Kyle Shanahan did. When Kyle left what happened? Zimmer as a head coach took Minnesota further than Dallas in 30 years with case keenum. You want him as hc too or nah? Lemme know

Injuries don't care who the head coach is.
And Booger is going to Booger.

The one thing DQ has going for him is an organization that doesn’t meddle in the coach decisions.

What MM dealt with, DQ would’ve dealt with here. Same results +/- a game.
