If we knew we'd sign Collins, who would we have drafted instead of Chaz Green?

Hmmm. Then too early for Buck Allen, and I dont think they liked Jeremy Langford. And I dont think they were really interested in a DT.

Actually I would've done this... give up our 3rd and 4th (and future 6th or 7th round picks if necessary) to trade up in the 3rd to get Tevin Coleman. Then I take Michael Bennett (or Damien Wilson if he was available) in the 5th round. Then we walk away with 3 first round talents, our workhorse RB for the future, and a potential future starter on defense.

Green would have been a luxury. Leary has this year and next on his deal. And Collins can play RT just as well, if not better.

I'm not certain they are related, unless the Cowboys want Collins to play Right Tackle. If they do I think they would have gotten another defensive back myself.

We may have rolled the dice on Green trying to get him in the 4th and gone RB or DB at 91. We wanted Green badly and thought that if teams reevaluated their board over Friday night he would be gone by our 4th rounder. I would have loved to heard the war room discussion on all of this.

Not doubting you but where did you hear this? Petty had a great workout and I thought he would have been a solid pick on day 2.

Given who was on the board,I thought all along they should trade down there.
If they could find anyone in the upper 4th, then they add an early 5th and still get the same quality of player they were getting the late 4th.

At that point,there were RBs, WRs, DE, DT, S, and CB prospects that were ok value.
Oh well..
