Heads should rightly roll, but who gets the blame (besides Maher)? McCarthy or Jerry?
Prior to yesterday’s playoff game Maher had been money all season. No one’s going to get the blame, but Maher if he costs us the game next week. You can’t just fire people because a kicker goes into a funk during the playoffs. You can’t just pluck another kicker off the street at this stage and have your season riding on their foot.

All of them. Missing multiple extra points in a game is unacceptable at the pro level. Maybe in college where you have some walk-on kicker but at this level? Nope! At the very least, Fassel will need to be the scapegoat.

Some people aren't just cheerleaders. Pretend the Cowboys cut him and you'll see the wisdom of the decision.
They aren't cutting him. It's stupid to think that they would cut him for some unknown when they play a playoff game on Sunday.

I know they're not cutting him. You know they're not cutting him. That's why you're defending him. It's all you do. You don't really have an opinion. You're a cheerleader.

I would cut him. Then I'd go outside for a smoke and flick ashes on the Landry statue.

Can we all agree that he completely broke down mentally last night? Like it was one of the worst performances by a kicker in league history.

That's the guy you want making a pressure kick against the 49ers? Because you don't "know" the street free agent like you know this choke artist?

You can at least try out some kickers during the week. Lirim or whatever his name is, is probably available. To do nothing after that no performance last night would be managerial malpractice.

Blame Zeke. The go to move on this board, when all else fails.

Yeah I don't get the notion you can't just bring in a kicker now. Sure you can. It's the easiest position to fill during the season. Teams do it all the time.

I also find it funny he's described as money before this game when his extra point miss streak started the week before.

They may look at a few kickers but if it would be a highly questionable move to bring back a kicker you cut in training camp and depend on them in a playoff game. I’m not positive but I don’t think Lirim has ever attempted a regular season kick in the NFL. If he was dependable he would’ve ended up on someone’s roster this season. Kicking in practice is a lot different than kicking in a playoff game. I’m a believer that at this stage in the season you have to go with the kicker that helped get you here and hope they get back on track.
