uhh. him leading the league in passing and qbr this late in the season, the team (led by him) winning back to back "tests" against quality teams. him being in the mvp discussion. him actually looking like a leader rather than just talking like one. practically all analysts (fans/detractors alike) conceding that he's been playing as well as any other qb in the league etc etc. but again, what exactly does "it's year nine" have to do with anything? that only holds water for predictions / expectations. nothing to do with whats happened. and i didn't "demand enlightenment" you said i missed the point, so i asked which? if you say something, i'd like to know what you're referring to. but you seem keen on deflection and such. So knock yourself out.

OK, let's break down your arguments full of suppositions stated as a priori:

"back-to-back wins against quality teams" - as "proof" that Dak is a great QB.

1. Only you think made-up categories aka participation trophies for second rate players and lame fans is a thing. The goal is the SB and playoff relevance.
2. 2 wins in a row in a 17 game season...kinda leaves out meaningful context for evaluating the player. How did Dak perform against the Lion's banged up secondary? Or the Panthers? Or the Cardinals?
3. My favorite is your "quality teams" comment. Tell me...how great do the Eagles or Chiefs look CURRENTLY?

The rest of your post - and the sentences prior to it - are littered with such babble. "leading the league" - based on WHAT STAT? Seems you've lost the plot. Top salary demands top scrutiny...not meaningless "awards" for the weak and credulous.

I didn't say he was great, I didn't use "back to back wins as proof he was great" I didn't make up any categories.

I'm not sure why you need your hand held all while claiming IM begging for enlightenment lol. Dak is leading the league in passing. what stat? PASSING! What has leading the league in passing ever meant? He has the most passing yards, he's also the league leader in qbr, and 2nd in passing touchdowns. I don't care if you think he's great or not, not my argument. MY argument is he's having one of his best seasons and he is. Based on those FACTS. I only mention the Chiefs and Eagles wins because the no one expected the Cowboys to win them, for Dak to win them, it's a constant thorn in the side when he has had quality offensive stats that he couldn't win games like those. Discredit them now, that's fine, but no one expected those wins and they got them. Those are just further arguments, not facts. The facts were stated and speak for themselves. Did he also have poor games? Of course, quite a few with the defense being putrid and ceedee dealing with one of his poorer stretches, but it's besides the point because CUMULATIVELY he's still a league leader and playing as good as he has in his career. No, this was not a great game for Dak, but no QB has a great game every week.

Look what Mahomes did this last week.

A team and its QB are going to find it tough when big time offense and scoring is required every game to have a chance to win. It also doesn't help that the OT's were basically revolving doors.

When he played a healthier version of the team we just lost to, he had 257 yds, 3 TDs 0 ints and a rushing touchdown
