If Mahomes — one of the greatest talents we’ve ever seen — can look human when his WRs drop everything, the defense slips, and the roster has holes… then it kinda shows exactly what I’ve been saying:

Football isn’t a QB-only sport. Teams win games. Teams lose games.

Mahomes didn’t suddenly forget how to throw.
His situation changed.

Same reason Dilfer won a ring with a legendary defense, and same reason Herbert/Jackson/Allen haven’t with weaker ones.

You can’t argue ‘QB isn’t everything’ to defend Mahomes,
and then argue ‘QB is everything’ when talking about Dak.

Mahomes can still FUNCTION when things fall apart.

Threw that horrific backwards pass instead of throwing it away

Led 0 Td drives in the first half against a team missing most of their secondary.

The offense scored 30 points which should be enough to win. The defense could not stop the Lions. They looked like the team that lost to the Bears and Cardinals. The defense was awful.

I am not going to say Dak played well. He didn't. But he was under a lot of pressure from the outside. Both OTs were terrible in pass protection. Which reminds me, didn't Dallas have that kid Al-Quadin Muhammad on their roster last year?

When Dak plays poorly, h holds the ball too long and takes unnecessary sacks, or he does something stupid like that backwards pass. He has never been good at throwing it away. He and Romo have the same problem trying to make something happen.

The Cowboys did not finish drives which is on the offense. They did not secure the football. The had killer penalties to negate big plays.

This was a total team loss. The only player I think who had a good game, besides Aubrey, was Sam Williams.

Our pass rush was not the same as theirs. He was able to wait multiple times for people to run 10-15 yards before throwing

When I played it was, WE won or WE lost.....ignorance isn't a bad word, just means you don't know......well, you don't know how to be objective.
Dak had some bad plays that really hurt, he wasted a perfect game from our OL...they didn't allow a pressure or sack, those were all Dak's fault. Dak wasted a stellar defensive performance, to only allow 44 points and still lose.....damn, maybe you aren't ignorant after all..you may be a football savant and just schooling the rest of us.

Partly because hes a former Romo homer and he cant see beyond that when judging Dak.There are some people I cant take seriously when making Dak criticism hes one of them.Conversely there are some Pro Dak folks I cant take seriously because their inability to see much bad in Dak we know who those people are as well. Willie was very active in his criticism of CeeDee when he had those bad weeks if memory serves me right.

I cant remember if he started a thread or not but I do remember him being vocal about his displeasure with him and I think CeeDee is his guy. Dak was harassed all night it saddens me that we need to look at OL again with an early pick because our tackles suck so bad.
