So, two things…first, I asked “Is 91 yards of rushing in an NFL football game in 2025 considered average, above average, excellent, or below average? How would 376 yards of passing be in that same game?”

I asked that because of someone’s assertion that Dak played terribly while our running game was average. Since my own assessment was the opposite, I thought I’d ask ChatGPT.

Second, I do not think ChatGPT is infallible, but I think it is beyond comprehension for some anonymous poster on here to suggest not only that that the collective wisdom (including statistics of every NFL game ever played) is wrong, but that his or her own quite-possibly-pimple-faced-14-year-old opinion is superior to ChatGPT.

I think that is an incredible thing, actually, especially when one’s argument that the collective wisdom of all mankind on the subject is invalid because “facts > feelings”. It’s perhaps the most illogical thing I’ve heard in some time.

I can’t be the only one who finds that exceptionally ignorant, but maybe I am.

I think the disconnect is that I don't think the collective wisdom of all mankind, aka ChatGPT, is being challenged or refuted by anyone. It is just being pointed out that the averages don't look at the specifics of the individual data points and all 370 yards passing and 91 yards rushing games are not created equally.

Historical averages tell me to expect a high of 38 today. Reality tells me it is not going to get above 15 today.

That’s just not what I saw last night. Last night had nothing to do with panicking. That performance should’ve been good enough to win with and it would’ve been.

He's had worse games, but he didn't really do anything to put the team on his shoulders and make them win. Like I said in an earlier post, he was harassed on probably 60% of the snaps, maybe more, and it's really hard to concentrate on the other 40%, thinking someone might be on your back any moment. But that's what what needed from him.

Did he play well? No. Was it entirely his fault? No. Did he help himself? No. What is disturbing is that we see the exact same pattern with Dak in these huge playoff/playoff like games. First half futility once again. Zero TD's in the first half. This happens over and over again. Its like the nerves get to him and once theres nothing to lose he lets it go in the second half. It would nice to see the offense go off for once in these type of games in the first half. This has been the case since his rookie year loss to the Packers in the playoffs.

You just complimented Dak. You said he's all panic, no results when scrambling under pressure..... yet he's still top 3 in all quarterback categories except ints.

That proves that he's so good that despite panicking under pressure with no results.... he's still top 3 of his position.

Statistically speaking, there is such a thing as confidence intervals. I am not an expert, but I have knowledge in this area, and once there is a large enough sample size one can determine with a high degree (typically 95%) that “x” assertion can be duplicated 95% of the time reliably.

My point being, someone like Dak cannot reasonably lead his historically successful franchise in passing yards and be among the top-3 in the NFL this year in several categories, and be considered a bad QB…especially by someone whose argument is “facts > feelings” repeated 5 times every post. ChatGPT is, in part, basing it’s responses on the available data which includes opinion but also a WEALTH of historical statistical data.

Other than that, common sense should tell the average person that winning also depends on staying upright for much of the game and not having to score 40+ points because your defense is atrocious. We scored 30 points and, but for having to press for TD’s late, would likely have scored 37 or 40,

But we didn’t, it is what it is, and Dak will be a bum forever to some people no matter what he does or doesn’t do because their amphibian brains can’t grasp anything but the most binary of realities. X or Y, and nothing in between.
