I'll be surprised if we beat the Bears

Not to nitpick, but that KC D is pretty good(they lost to Houston the same way-non O TDs)-it's the O that blows chunks.

It was alot like when we played the Giants-powerhouse O, but no D from them.

sorry...still not buying it

no, cant say I'd be that surprised

they just played the Chiefs, who I am pretty sure are one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in the league, at home, and managed only 20 pts (13 offense, 7 punt return) and a puny 239 yds of total offense...they averaged 3.6yds per pass attempt...Grossman was sacked 3 times and Bears had 3 turnovers...they also had only one real drive the entire game
That's one of the things that encourages me. The Chiefs might be the worst team in football, and the Bears couldn't do much against them.

I also think Benson is average at best, and they'll miss Jones a lot.

But I think they'll be very pumped up for this game.

I think the Bears are beatable, but I certainly see this game as one of our main challenges this season. It's on the road against the defending NFC Champs and they have great Defense and Special Teams.

They were 6-2 at home last year, with the 2 losses being to Miami and the Packers. It can be done, but the odds are long.

I think if we avoid turnovers, I totally agree

That is the key. If we hold on to the ball, which has proven difficult for Bears opponents as of late, then we win. No question in my mind, that is the key to this game. The Bears take advantage of turnovers better than any team in recent memory (my memory that is).

Honestly, I feel this team is capable of beating any team in the NFC, at home or the road. Now, while we may not win, The only way I'd be shocked is if they put a pasting ala 1985 on us. (Let's not dwell too much on that game)

As much as I love the Cowboys, I'm usually surprised when we win. We have a recent history of losing to teams we should beat and rarely posting an "upset" against a so-called superior opponent. It's early in the season, but this is a pivotal game. The Cowboys need to prove to THEMSELVES that they can go on the road and play with (and beat) the big boys in the conference. I was worried before the Giants game. I was worried before the Miami game. I'm worried before the Chicago game. With each victory, I get a little more confident, but a victory on Sunday night would really say a lot.

The Chiefs, imo will be lucky to win 5 games this year

Another X-factor you have to consider is Newman. We haven't seen this defense with our best defensive player yet. If he can put a virtual lock on one side of the field, that would have a major domino effect allowing help to be shifted toward Henry, which in turn would give us more opportunities for coverage sacks. Or at least preventing QBs from taking their quick reads to beat our blitz.

The defense took a major step forward last week and with Newman should take a giant leap forward.

I'm not worried at all! I was more worried about the Fins than this game. And the reason I am not worried is because of one man...Jason Garrett!

This guy has seen it all and he will know exactely how to ATTACK the Bears' defense...I really believe that. Also, think about it. This offense has some damn good talent...Romo, Witten, T.O., the biggest reported offensive line...Barber, JJ...Hurd...McBriar...you get my drift...

This is not last years team! I think this team is out to prove to everyone that what you have been seeing the last few years is NOT what you are going to see THIS YEAR. Nobody knows, even us fans, noone knows...and it all starts with Garrett and his method of attack...

We might lose the game, but it will be a fight till the end...and I expect that the Cowboys will come out with another "W"...the Bears are not going to blow the Cowboys out, and it just might, it just might, be the other way around...

;)

good call. i agree. this is definately not last years team. garrett is smart and crafty. he uses all the weapons available.

It may be a wakeup call, but who knows. Our offense is for real and our defense is not. The opposite can be said of the Bears. We'll see.

It's look like it. If he was 50/50 for the last two weeks it looks like he's 75/25 this week.

And this is exactely what I'm talking about. History...

History is past documentation...no team in the NFL has any history on THIS Cowboy team...the last few year's team, yes, not this team.

People thought we didn't have a chance in hell to beat the Colts either, then look what happened.

Every Cowboy fan always has apprehension before every game against a good team. It's natural. Hell, I get nervous before EVERY game, no matter who were playing.

Beacuse of their offense? Or some other reason?

Turnovers and special teams. An untimely pick, fumble, or punt return and things can snowball in a hurry.
