...with the alternate dropper Bennett as they left the field at the half. I thought to myself "Perfect Pair".

He is gone... well i hope he is gone next season. We can trade him for something better...

Drugs kill. People don't trade for players making $45M who can't catch and lack effort and that has alligator arms.

I'm no longer worried about Roy Williams to me it's just $49 million of someone elses money wasted, thank goodness it's not mine!

To any fans at the game, he is the cause of an extra bucks at the game. Now he is getting $9M per year. Let's say Jerry gets to keep all of his gate and none of the road gate to make the calculation simpler. Let's say we average 80000 fans/game for 8 home games or 640 000 fan games attended. So he is responsible for $14 of your ticket per game attended if we were to say that all of the player's salary came from gate revenues (and yes I know it doesn't really with things like TV contracts, merchandising, etc.).

Roy has been playing like a guy whose confidence is shot. He may be able to get it back with an offseason full of hard work, but I think it's going to be gone for the rest of the season.

I'm trying to figure out whats to hate about Roy. No one is happy about his lack of production. If you think you are upset about it imagine how he feels. It is embarrassing for him, his family, and friends. I just dont understand why so many people need someone to hate. He is a member of the Dallas Cowboys. He is a Texas boy who wants to play for the cowboys more than anyone does. He has been a Cowboys fan his whole life. Can we say that about many of the players. How about Romo? Did he grow up a cowboys fan?

People will say its his arrogance. He isnt arrogant. He has been getting questioned by every past star for his favorite team since they traded for him. His ability has been called into question so many times. He just believed in himself. All professional athletes do.

As far as his contract goes....would any of us have not taken the money if offered to us? He did nothing wrong with his contract. He hasnt given up on the team.

Any player that cares about this team winning has to have some sense about what he has cost the Cowboys in terms of short-term performance and long-term opportunity.

That being said, he could be a big time option....OR assumed option next Sunday.

He's hurting this team. He doesn't even know what his routes are.(as evident by tonight) That is his lack of work ethic and concentration. Did you see Romo after the one ball he threw to Williams? That said it all right there.

I doubt any hates Roy the person.............. Roy the player now that's a different story.

To me, he has now become a situational player. He's generally going to catch only a few balls a game, but it will be down around the goal line where he can use his big frame to dominate those smaller cornerbacks.

I feel much worse that we gave up a first and third round pick for a guy who is no better than 3rd or 4th at his position on the roster.

He's had a year and a half to get it together and he still doesn't seem to get it, at least on the field. It did look like it was sinking in to him on the sidelines, but that isn't helping us any.

Part of the problem may in well be that is he is playing so close to home. The additional pressure...

I know this theory has been touted before (granted, in basketball, mainly...). An example was Wade early on in his career when he'd come to Chicago.

you've got to get his confidence back...give him a few dump-offs, get him in the game...

it's too important...we need to get him involved. yeah, i know...i've wanted to break a pumpkin over his melon; but he's a big weapon - a weapon currently devoid of confidence. get him slowly into the game...and then reap some rewards.

I don't think that it's that personal. Anybody who wants the Cowboys to win understands that he has hurt our playoff chances with his lack of production, not to mention how he has hurt the future of the team with the squandered draft picks and salary cap drain.

I don't hate him, and I don't begrudge him cashing his check each week even when he continues to fail to perform.

I can't speak to his work ethic or his habits or any of that. I'm as irritated at Jerry for foolishly trading for him (especially when Boldin was available and prior to a draft with a lot of talented WR's available).

I just want the guy to live up to his contract or, failing that, for Dallas to start the best player possible. Right now, that's not Roy. If he ever gets there, fine. But until then, play someone better.

Tree, Crayton, Hurd, multiple TE sets...I don't care.

Yup, hopefully he will become a secret weapon / diversion next week. I'm glad that they sat his butt tonight, a big step for Wade/Jason.

I like Roy a lot. He's a Texas kid who has a nice enough attitude and "wants" to be here. I just don't like his production. Truthfully, I don't think it's from a lack of trying. I really just don't think he's a good mix with Romo. Roy made a living in Detroit going up for bad, jump-ball type catches. Think about it -- his highlights aren't necessarily plays where his precise route leaves a DB in the dust. It's him jumping through the gym and making a great catch. Romo just don't make those kind of throws. He's a precision passer who isn't going to just take a chance and let Roy 'go make a play.'

That's my two cents at least.

Either way, hopefully he makes a key play for us at some point. I don't dislike him at all, contract and all.

So, because the ball hits him in the hands now and he can't catch it, that means he doesn't fit in with Romo? I don't get it. He just needs to stop thinking (except about his route-running) and make the damn catch when the ball hits him in the hands. PERIOD.
