All of you that slam this team all the time over contracts, why do they wait and the price goes up..... yadadadada. Did you even notice that Gibbs and Bijan or "Holding in?" See what happens when you have top players at a position?

Amazing how all of the sudden the big boy from the bucs has a bad back and is demanding to be traded. What is up with this? I thought it weas only Dallas that screwed these contracts up?

Ironic coz you thank Zeke for Gibbs and Bijan Holding in.......both players, like Zeke, are in the 3rd year of their rookie contracts and owe their clubs two more years (4th and 5th year option ). They are elite/top players at their positions, saying I want my new deal now.

BTW......you can also thank Stephen Jones. Remember when we intentionally ran the hell out of DeMarco Murray the final year of his contract? Dude led the league in rushing yards and touches. He had 449 touches, a Cowboy record for RBs ( 6th most in league history) but SJ low-balled him, saying 'any RB can run behind our O-line '.

Well, Zeke's agent remembered and blindsided Stephen after his 3rd year by threatening to hold out without a new contract. Rather than calling Zeke's bluff, Stephen panicked and rest .......gave him a record-setting contract for RBs.

Murray record-setting year for touches.......

Lol, I noticed that. I go through rotoworld and check updates a few times a week in order to prepare to dominate in my fantasy league and saw both the rbs last night.

Its funny cause I hadn't heard a peep about it until then. Its literally just the standard routine now.

Say Dallas is 4-6 at the trade deadline. You trade Pickens. You have to trade him. I mean you really have to trade the guy. A trade in lieu of screwing up the contract is the only way. Trading Pickens at the deadline if the team is out of it makes sense. A smart GM would have to consider a trade. I really really really think a trade has to be discussed.

I don’t think anyone criticized the Cowboys for the hold ins. To be honest Pickens should be doing it right now. Pickens should not be playing on a franchise tag.

And his agent shouldn’t be letting him.

The only thing I can think is maybe his value is lower than I thought and they are trying to raise it. But it’s still risky. But if this is true then his value must be extremely low. It’s the only way to make sense of it.

Pickens doesn’t have any value.

You really think contract disputes started with Zeke?

We don't like to pay big money but we end up setting the market often, it's the mind game they play, when really they're getting played!!

You forgot to mention unfollowing the team on social media oh things are so bad when that happens lol

Yeah because by that time the season is over and we can't go on a run

Pickens has too much historical image damage control to do to afford to hold out.

That's working in the Cowboys favor, and it's why they franchise tagged him.

What's the point of a hold in for Pickens?

The time to talk numbers expired on the 15th.
Gibbs, Robinson etc can all sign extensions still

Don't forget Baker Mayfield also angry at the Bucks Look this happens all the time look at the mess with Brandon Iuke and the threatening of holdout of two years ago they finally cave and pay him And then now look at that myth they've had the same thing happen with their left tackle or their right tackle whoever their best tackle is they're always constantly in negotiations and threats of a holdout are retirement..

Yes this is normal for the league this is not a Jerry Jones thing that also like we lost Parsons and I've seen guys like Khalil Mack Tyree Kill Dexter Lawrence Miles Garrett Yes we even saw strangely enough Max Crosby left and now he's back but he still was traded guys move around guys hold out guys hold in guys make threats and not everyone gets paid early..

facts

Whoever the Jerry Jones hater crowd which I understand he can frustrate you at times I get it i'm not a supporter of his this is not just him They wanna say it to him but all teams have problems with players.. Yes they also have players who get arrested a lot this whole culture thing really 'cause I thought Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are big enough leaders over there to keep things from happening but Kansas City seems to be on a regular basis having somebody have problems.

No......not 'contract disputes' but the issues of top elite RBs demanding new deals immediately following the 3rd year of their rookie deal.
This is due to the salary cap and 5th year options. The player is screwed, but the players agreed to these terms. I wish they would either play by the rules of the CBA or do away with the salary cap. Both Lions and Falcons should play hard ball and let the player sit. But they wont.
