Signing Dak was worse than Taco over watt, joey Galloway, shante carver, Roy Williams and firing Jimmy combined.
I agree! It was an epic blunder!

I am actually going to enjoy watching the lip smacking crypt keeper trying to justify this contract as the years go by.

So when Dak had Cooper, Lamb, a healthy Gallup as his starting WRs, Zeke and Pollard rushing over 5 YPC, a top ranked TO and scoring defense, Zach Martin in his prime, Tyron Smith and Tyler Smith on one side, how exactly was Dak carrying them? It was the other way around…
I meant carried them this year. Dak delivered those year’s although faltered in the playoff. Still a dysfunctional organization those years too.

We need to draft a QB bc it's the best investment given our likely draft position. It is obvious that the drop off from Dak to our back-ups is just too steep and both Rush and Lance are free agents after the season. Perfect time to reboot the QB room and set the stage to send Dak packing in a few years.

The Team had a lead against Aaron Rodgers in the Playoffs.....what happened to the scoring defense?

For me, I'd only draft a QB if I loved the prospect.

Otherwise, I'd prefer not to repeat the Romo to Dak transition.

In order to take advantage of a rookie QB deal, you can't still be paying the previous QB.

It's better to rack up a plethora of picks to gear up for the next window. (Just my opinion)

The new HC won’t even get to play with his toy until TC. Only mental reps until late a July. And that’s without any set backs.
Is this about to be a new narrative......doom & gloom?.....guy is bedridden?.....leg about to be cut off?.....or what? Nobody got to play with Cee Dee, until week prior to Game 1....nobody. Aaron Rodgers hurt all last year.....Trevor Lawrence hurt now with same possibility of a new coach.....it happens......and is not an be all/end all problem. A bit of overthinking here.

The timing of it hours before the Cleveland game? Like what?! Now we’re strapped to him and this is also with what is a 6-8 injury. He can’t even ride a bike for the next two months at minimum. The hamstring tore completely off the pelvic muscle!
The notion we are strapped simply isn't true. There are options. If only we had the sense to correct it as soon as possible, painful as it may be. But in all honesty, can;t be much worse than now.

A great question. For me I would be happy with no Dak, new coaches, and 3 year classic rebuild with terrible teams and high draft picks. I would have hope.

With that contract I just see no hope. Given the injury we’d be looking at a top 5 pick being a QB this offseason and a ton of cap space. Now we are just going to circle the drain.

There is zero chance they win anything in the next 4 years. It will be more excuses and 8/10 win seasons.

Depressing state of affairs for fans.

Now that is as ridiculous as finding something good, positive or decent about Dak on this board. Would it be a guess, perhaps you've never witnessed pre-Dak due to youth? Have to ask.

Yes. At some point, the facade of "all in this season" has to stop. It's madness at this point.

Bail out, go "all in" (for real...put all the chips in!) the next year.

Bail out of Dak...take the immense hit...work on that 3 year rebuild anyway.

Just do it now...It's all a waste anyway.

Yep, that is why NO franchise has given Cooper Rush a chance to compete for Starting Job .....it's pretty common....oops Uninamous for ALL 32 franchises
you asked about hitting receiver in stride. why you trying to flip the entire context?

While I hate losing, as I love my favorite sports team to be on the winning side and love football. What would be the boards feelings at this point knowing we would have all these high draft picks and possibly a new franchise QB?

Would your outlook on the future be the same? Would you be enjoying this season more?

Talk amongst yourselves…
Too soon bro lol… this is an exercise in futility and frustration lol

Well LISTEN HERE, if he DIDN"T get paid, he wouldn't be hurt right now because he's trying to get the big money, he would have been a hero and played through the pain!!! He's got the money so the fight isn't there like it would have been if he didn't

Personally would feel happier for the future, it sure is disheartening knowing right now sucks, and the future is gonna suck.
Hope Dak gets better but damn that contract stinks even before it was printed out
I would be very nervous because this is not the year to be looking for a franchise QB in the draft. I’m a Dak fan. He played very well last year when there were more threats on offense, but still, I’d be excited about possibly drafting the next franchise QB. Not this year. Normally I’d be excited about the possibility of getting better with speed at wr, impact at RB, help at DT and LB, depth at CB.

But it’s hard to be excited after the way Jerry operated last offseason.

For me, the main issue isn't Dak, himself.

The main issue is the FO didn't have the balls to move on. The FO wants the status quo.

That's apathy inducing.
Yeap! The Patriots back in their hey day knew when to cut bait. Even if the guy was productive and had gas left in the tank they would move on from the player.

Jerry just can't help himself.

He has to sign players to franchise drippling contracts that take years to get off the books.

Actually, I see a completely difunctional organization that Dak has carried as best one man can. Football is a team sport more than most. He is not in his prime but not the problem.

I would feel SO much better about the future had Jerry not done that absolutely ridiculously stupid contract. There is no hope with Dak. He is what he is and is only slowing down with Father Time.

Drafting a guy, even a bust, would at least give us some form of hope, optimism, and change. I'm down with enduring a few down years to find "that dood" at the QB position. For the life of me, I cannot understand what this team has against drafting and developing premium draft pick QBs.

i was in the camp of signing dak because it seemed like the most prudent option w/ the corner they backed themselves into. had they not signed him, and then he got injured, it would feel like a master stroke at present. and certainly build some optimism moving forward. this is kinda worst case scenario.
