Take a look a the dead cap $.If this is true........how do you explain 4 years on his rookie deal? We didn't do a darn thing with the extra cap space/money

That means nothing. They moved money to a sign on bonus and pushed the cost out over his remaining contract.
Who sets the worth? Every year QB pay keeps going up? Why? Because dumb owners want to overpay the next owner. They keep caving in to these waaaay overpriced yearly increases. It’s not a discount to avoid overpaying. It is what the player is worth.
You end up over paying when you have a poor GM and you do not have a back up plan in place.Who sets the worth? Every year QB pay keeps going up? Why? Because dumb owners want to overpay the next owner. They keep caving in to these waaaay overpriced yearly increases.
So how could Jones have prevented this situation? You end up over paying when you have a poor GM and you do not have a back up plan in place.
GB made an investment in Love, when they still had Rodgers.
Seems like he's following in GBs steps. Lance is our Love.So how could Jones have prevented this situation?
Correct, but that response should of been to.......Seems like he's following in GBs steps. Lance is our Love.

So is your argument that:You end up over paying when you have a poor GM and you do not have a back up plan in place.

I suppose the question of worth is.....what do we get for our buck? What will he provide with say a $55m per contract that he couldnt manage on $40m. Dont forget that if he wants a 3 year contract (and we add 2 void years) we'll be paying an additional $8m in deferred CAP bonus.Dak could play for free and he’d still fail.
Losers lose.
This is how the Jones boys fool people. They could have opened up 40-50M in space and been plenty active. But that would have required a Dak extension. For those that don't want to see Dak extended, they can't complain about little free agency action.LOL.......this isn't true
He will provide the same thing he’s provided for 8 seasons.I suppose the question of worth is.....what do we get for our buck? You can pay Dak 1 $ and we will still lose in the first round of the playoffs.you have a chance if he's top 10 all time, but did Brady get paid more than every other qb? QBs hog up too much of the cap. the first top 10 qbto realize this and take less will help start a dynasty
There is no “all in” with Dak.This is how the Jones boys fool people. They could have opened up 40-50M in space and been plenty active. But that would have required a Dak extension. For those that don't want to see Dak extended, they can't complain about little free agency action.
I'm on the fence with a Dak extension, and leaning no. But I'd be all for it if they were actually going all in this year. Just to see it happen once!
Taking less money isn't going to help Dak perform better. He is what he is.you have a chance if he's top 10 all time, but did Brady get paid more than every other qb? QBs hog up too much of the cap. the first top 10 qbto realize this and take less will help start a dynasty
