For me, it's just weird how some put so much stock into it. I hate to lose, but complaining has never got me a win. So, if I can't do anything about it, why bother.
So why post telling people they’re not fans if they think this team has huge problems (it does). Has that ever gotten you a win?

We all can think what we want, but telling people they can go get a new team if they don’t like it is totally unproductive.

No it's a Dallas Cowboys forum for discussing Dallas Cowboys but good try trying to circumvent the fact that you're discussing the Dallas Cowboys even though you say you don't care anymore if you didn't care you wouldn't be here you would delete this and get the Cowboys out of your mouth it's not cowboy centric it is Dallas Cowboys football that's what we discussed in here not The Mavericks not everything in Dallas just the Cowboys it has its name right in the thread meaning you come here you have not stop caring that's pretty easy to see why waste your time talking Cowboys..
So I never said that I don't care-- I'm saying I care less and less.

I can't say I'm emotionally invested in the Cowboys at this point, but I still follow the team. But I also follow other teams. This year I'm having fun watching Caleb Williams' and Jayden Daniel's developments, and the Ravens are pretty fun, too.

It's fine if you don't like my explanation, but I just don't think you're understanding me here, and that's okay.

I'm not here to say "you shouldn't enjoy XYZ because I don't". Just voicing my standpoint.

I went from a diehard cowboys fan , to a NFL fan with the cowboys as my main team, to a NFL fan with the cowboys
as a circus that I find amusing.

Jerry has ruined the cowboys, they will never be what they used to be. It will continue to be more of a circus than a football team.

Each year I pick some other NFL teams to actually root for like I used to do with cowboys,....or now they are more the "jones boys"
and they should replace the star with a $ sign, as they are mostly about $ ( and jerry), not football.

And yeah the campo years were more fun and interesting than the garrett years, and now the mm years.

I did enjoy 2014, that was the last good season, and 2016 was ok.

Too much of anything can get old, and what we have got the last 5 years is too much of jerry !, and too much of DAk !
Dak Dak dak lol , I just got wore out during the pre 40 mil contract, way too much talk about him, and I just got sick of hearing about
him because it was just too much talk, jerry loved it but I didnt.

I like coming here to read what other say and think, bad or good, dak or no dak. I try to have fun with it.
But I know cowboys of the past are gone, and it is just a jones boys team wearing a cowboys uniform, so not much to like.

This year I am rooting for Wash lol they are doing better than expected, and then the texans, and thats it, I kinda like KC too.
Better to like them, as they will probably be in SB again. Mahomes is fun to watch like Romo used to be.
Pretty similar for me.

I think I had more enthusiasm for 2016 though. Things felt fresh with Dak and Zeke, and it was a fun year.

The downfall for me probably begain with Zeke's suspension the next year. The feel good story was done after that-- tarnished in an instant.

hmmm.. was this thread really necessary?
Good question. It is highly unlikely this thread would have been conceived and posted if not for a few members attempting to command their fellow members to follow a different team.

Kinda like what came first--the chicken or the egg. A relatable question would be, "Are 'go follow another team' posts necessary?"

Over the last week, many of us here on the Zone have heard something like this a number of times: “If you don’t like how the Cowboys are run, just go to another team. It’s Jerry’s right as owner to do whatever he wants, and if you don’t like it, leave”. I would like to address this idea.

What is often overlooked in this genre of response to our frustration is that people are not fans of a team for logical reasons. We are not choosing our football team like we would if we were buying a commodity which is the same everywhere you get it. We are emotionally aligned with our team for a number of reasons.

I, and many of us here on the zone, follow the Cowboys because of what they represented in their past. At their best they are quintessentially American. For those of us from North Texas and the surrounding states, the Cowboys are also part of our culture.

My grandmother who lives in the tiny Oklahoma town where Troy Aikman was raised brought me to the Dallas Cowboys. It is quite simply a part of me. I cannot just up and leave and neither can most of us here. The Cowboys are family for many of us and preserve the memories of those long gone who also rode with the star. I’m sure many here have similar stories.

So no, we cannot just go find another team.

What they have become and how this organization is managed is nothing we can be proud to associate with. What it has come to represent in its modern form is disgusting. It is deeply painful to see the franchise we love and its storied history be cheapened and erased by decades of nothing short of a circus directed by a man who cares for nothing but himself.

Do you understand now?
As a fan for over 50 years, I couldn't care less what other fans who disagree with my present state of fandom think. The Cowboys have long been a part of my DNA and I now find myself at a stage of indifference. Jerry has taken all the passion out of being a Cowboys fan for me. It has been a long process, but he finally degraded my intensity level to that of a casual fan.

They are still my team, but I am no longer a PSL owner (16 years) and I won't go see them play anywhere in person. It's been a long time since I purchased any Cowboys swag, and now, I no longer make it a priority to watch their games. I am sure it will turn around again, but until the Owner gets his act together or sells the team, I am no longer able to invest my emotions into the franchise.

Go Cowboys.

Yep...anyone who can just chose another team, is either 6 years old, or, ne er was a true fan to begin with.

Nope....u have no choice but to bleed whatever colors you were raised with, never changing, no matter how miserable they make you. Death is the only escape.

Welp, time for some pie and a nap!

Go Cowboys.
I am basically right there with you. I have become increasingly apathetic to outcomes, but I just can’t get rid of the Cowboys completely.

I used to plan my Sundays around being able to watch the games, but let’s just say I’ve been doing a lot more fly fishing while they’re playing recently.

I like Detroit, I like their coach. I like KC because Mahomes makes it happen in crunch time. Would love to see the Jets put something together but have not seen it happen yet. Play style helps determine who I like, I’m sure others will come around as the season progresses.

The entire team sucks I hate the organization and the cowboy fans. But I love coming here and complaining about it. Go Cowboys. I’ve never once said go find another team to anybody, but I have said why are you here if you’re so miserable

I'm not reading it but I'm saying if you're gonna use the same narrative that you hate the last 28 years and you bring up the same narrative and you basically go copy and paste the same thing in every thread it's the same response from a few people in here maybe 10 or 15 it's nothing but nothing but negativity they hate everything about the team from top to bottom why wouldn't some of our responses go find another team it shouldn't be the response to every negative thing said but there are some people in here that I feel like I'm dealing with Philadelphia eagle fans or I'm dealing with New York giant fans I'm dealing with the enemy the fans from other teams and yet we're supposed to be a group and be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys if you hate everything about them and you have for 20 years then you should no longer be a fan that's my point it's not about saying something negative or saying something that's true it's saying the same damn thing every time that you hate everything about the team you hate everyone's contract you hate everyone's players you hate the front office and ownership from top to bottom you even hate the people that report everybody hate everything about the team why are you a fan yes the question will be raised and I will occasionally say that you should find another team if that's everything about the team 24/7 365 and every damn response is all negative if you're 100% negative you're not a fan if you're 100% against the Cowboys you're not a fan

do you understand now some of us who are real fans can say negative things occasionally we say real things that are broke or wrong with this team but we don't constantly in every thread post the same thing there are people that post the exact same response about the 28 year narrative or about Jerry Jones and the circus they say the same comments in every thread every time yes those people please find another team delete your account and move on your life will be better for it and so will mine

do you understand now?lol

You just love to loudly proclaim what a hypocrite you are while being blind to it. You put in more effort into confronting people who are complaining than the people you accuse of complaining.

This is a serious question, have you ever been I.Q. tested?
STHU....you're the one confronting people....your IQ doesn't even tickle mine. Now go away!

And you never criticize or voice your opinion, what it comes down to is simply so many are so insecure and invested in the team that when they have no answer they just tell you get lost, so what , it’s a forum to talk about and give opinions, no one is forcing you to read or answer but the few people haters have a standard response get a new team, you don’t know football, the old I played I watched film, blah blah blah, who cares either way
We're talking the team....you're getting personal, tough guy. Lol! Tough? That made me laugh

Nah, but I thought you were talking about the team.
