Sounds like it's the rest of the regular season with a shot at being back in time for the playoffs.

this is setting up for a nice little revenge game for when they obliterated us in Green Bay with our starting QB out and immediately after the game saw the firing of Wade Phillips

i hope we embarrass the hell out of them on national tv

We'll see what happens.
GB plays on Thanksgiving like us so the following game after a 10 days rest would probably be his first real target.

The fact the Pack is only 5-3 now makes it very possible he sits the rest of the year if things go really bad the next 3-4 games.
There are already eight 5-win teams. If they fall behind 9 or 10 teams no sure how much sense it makes to risk injury needing a miraculous final month to even make the playoffs.

They'd likely be 3rd in their own division.

There were a string of gimmes on the schedule though.
If Rodgers had stayed healthy they were looking at a 10-11 win season imho.

But again for Dallas sake they really just need to focus on the division. Win the final 3 division games and they will be fine.
Figure OAK at home on Turkey Day is a gimme.
That's 9 wins and every tie breaker to our favor.

I was kind of hoping they would just put him on the IR and not take a risk this season. lol

I'm sure they will take a dabble-check to make sure when he can return. lol

if true, he is done for the regular season. a broken collar bone, even when healed, is prone to break again. it takes way more then 6 weeks to heal to the point of being strong as before.

it will take 6 weeks to swing a golf club, more to feel like you can get hit by 300 lb guys.

We just barely beat a 1 win team with a last minute comeback drive. We managed to make Christian Ponder look like a pretty good QB. I'm sure we would do the same whether it's Sececa Wallace or Matt Flynn for GB.

The Vikings game was a game we could easily have lost. But you think we will beat the hell out of Green Bay? Without Aaron Rodgers, this game is a toss up, at best. Nobody will get obliterated in this game, unless Rodgers is somehow 100%, in which case he'll have an 400+ yard game and the obliteration would likely go the other way.

I hope he's out. Cobb too. We need every advantage we can get.

Romo's broken collarbone cost him the rest of the year. Let's hope Rogers is at lest as serious.

HUGE break for both the Eagles and the Giants.
I would have said the eagles AT Green bay would be a lock for the Packers. Now it won't surprise me at all if the Eagles win. And of course, the Giants just got gifted the following week as well.
Can't believe that those just happen to be the next two games the Packers play.

And, of course, Rodgers will be back in time for Dallas.
lol

it's a curse my man. it's time to admit it.

What does this have to do with Jerry...does the hate ever end on here.

i'm teasing around man lighten up.

It's not necessarily 2 free wins for them, the packers actually have a good running game this year and remember the Gnats and Eagles are both trash. They both might win but I wouldn't call the games a gimme

dude if they had flynn i'd agree. wallace SUCKS!

For me I don't take any game for granted and as far as getting an advantage based on injury of Rodgers, I'm not looking for one. If the Cowboys are to get where they want to go and do something once they get there then they have to be able to handle games like that. Personally I don't care how many yards Rodgers passes for I'm only interested in winning the game. Heck When Dallas faced off with GB in the 95 championship game Farve put up over 300 and had 3 TD passes but Dallas won, only stat that matters did you win or lose outside of that all the big passing numbers do not mean jack if you lose the game

Time to take a trip to 'Nawlins.

I'll bring the live chickens. You find us a real-live Voodoo priestess (preferably from Haiti, but they got 'em in N.O. also) and we'll swing a dead cat by the full moon in the middle of their stadium.

I'll bring some face paint so we can make it look legit too.

And every loss could've been a win. Without Aaron Rodgers the Packers are dead in the water and the Cowboys become the better team instantly.

Stop wringing your hands over the Vikings game. Every team loses or gets close to losing to teams they shouldn't...that's the price of parity. In the end a win is a win.

One could argue we could have won most of our games.

San Diego just beat us.
True.

And the fact that we lost close games to Kansas City, Denver and Detroit shows our inability to win close games against good teams. By the way, thats what teams need to do to win in the playoffs. And we have shown a complete inability to do it.

We can win close games against teams like the Vikings and Giants, but that doesn't tell us much, other than how average this team is.

Beat the lousy teams + lose to good teams = average/mediocre. That may be enough to win the division (remains to be seen), but that's about it.
