Most INTs, unless a terrible decision by the QB, are on everyone.

If Gallup was open Dak wouldn’t have thrown it there.

If the Oline had made separation up the middle, Dak may have taken off instead of risking that throw.

If Moore had called a better play, that throw wouldn’t have been necessary.

Dak could have chosen not to throw it, regardless of what CeeDee did. It was a tight window and unnecessary in that game circumstance.

And then CeeDee could have played DB better when he realized he had no shot at it. “My ball or no one’s”

Unless its AJ Brown then its the QB's fault...I'm kidding Aero..lol

Watched Dak's postgame press conference and he took the blame. Said it was a case of him trusting his arm too much and thinking he can get away with passes like that.
Postgame presser means nothing. He’s not going to say Lamb drifted on his route the int is his fault.

It’s not always easy to see who’s fault something is from a fans perspective but Lambs route does look pretty lazy.

it was a good play by jackson

its one of those plays where you throw it to a spot not to a receiver.......kinda like the old Kurt Warner Rams offense

no big deal really......

Had a few people argue with me that the Int was on Dak. When it was on Lamb. I explained Dak was throwing that ball to a spot where Lamb was supposed to be( a timing route) it was a doggone good throw.
We've seen this from Lamb a couple times this year and also heard Jerry talk about wr needing to be in the right places last season. At the 17:25 mark IS breaks down the Int play

that's a leader taking the blame

he knows its on all 3
the play call
the throw
and 88 not stopping and setting into where dak thought he would he drifted up field and didn't go after the ball. It was obvious Moose on the call stated as such..we all saw it with clear eyes not dak hater eyes,.,.

Dak or CeeDee I'm not sure it really matters. Lamb could have/should have run a better route there, however given the situation that throw probably should have never happened to begin with. End of the half, you have a big lead if the throw is there you take it, but with a S playing CF staring down the QB it's a bad decision. Dak only made 2 or 3 poor throws all day, but that was one of them.

INTs are kind of like car accidents. Yeah the other guy gets cited for the accident, but that doesn't mean you didn't contribute to the end results. The more aggressively you drive on the road the more likely you are to get in an accident, your fault or not.

If we lost that game it's a different conversation, but you pull out a win you chalk it up to a learning opportunity.

I can't ever recall the blame being placed on the receiver for an interception like that.

100% on the triggerman for making the decision to put the ball in harms way in that situation.

The safety was sitting right on it so why even put yourself in a situation that relies on the WR to be perfect?

This thread is an example of why the great Dak debate rages with the intensity it does. In a way, the decision to create this thread is just like the decision to throw the ball on that play.

In this example the Dak critics are the safety sitting on the route and the OP is Dak making a poor decision to throw the ball.

Moose on CBS agreed with you - he said Lamb has to go get that ball or keep it from anyone else getting it.

See you can tell Sturm never played football or never designed plays. There is no such route as it's dead......half way.!!:lmao2:Finish your route or become a DB to protect INT

CeeDee Dig route is supposed to be infront of the safeties in the area Jackson just left at the snap (40 yard line).

QBs read is throw to area vacated by Safety if CeeDee route is clean..

Lambs route was sloppy and consistent with his lack of focus on drop passes.

Lamb was on Half time Mode and Prescott was trying to give Cooper Rush the 4th QTR start....Kill Mode

As someone who does not have a pro/anti-Dak agenda, I can easily say this was caused by two things ..

1) Lamb altered his route after his cut and if you look, Dak had already released the ball before Lamb altered his route so it was Lamb's fault.
2) It was not a smart throw to make so despite it not being his fault for the interception, Dak should not have made that throw.
Poor route running
Poor decision to throw

To me, the throw being off target or Lamb running a lazy route is irrelevant. With 40 seconds left and the Bears getting the ball to start the 2nd half, why even attempt that throw? Play conservative until you get further upfield then try some crazy stuff if you want. That situation there was no reason to take any chances. It only cost 3 points but in a closer game it might have been a more significant mistake.

But taking the play out of the situation, Lamb should have made a more abrupt turn inside and cut underneath the S. It might not have mattered because the safety saw the throw all the way. He might have still cut in front of the WR and intercepted the pass. It was a very aggressive, and ill-advised, throw into good coverage by the Bears.

I agree with that fully. With that said though that was a ball that best case scenario gets your WR blown up or is an incompletion. We got the worst case scenario which was an INT.

Both deserve some level of blame, but it's a ball that probably shouldnt be thrown at all, especially that point in the game.

It wasn't a bad throw, you don't understand football...lol
I didn't say it was a bad throw. I said it was a bad decision.

If you thought you were going to make this post without people telling you how dumb of a decision it was then you're just fooling yourself.

Maybe you're just too "football smart" for us dummies.
