My problem is with the time of the game why was it called to begin with.It wasnt necessary you give it pollard there and if he breaks it then you push the envelope otherwise go into half up 3 more points.Oh well it wasnt too costly. Dak should have never thrown it and yes I blame CeeDee as well

And if Lamb cuts a bit more in, he gets absolutely destroyed most likely. There was no need to force the ball into that spot there. I get it, time was short and we were getting greedy but if we are gonna blame Lamb for not the best route, you have to question the QB throwing into that spot with a S about to light up his WR.

So while some blame goes to Lamb, it wasn't the best pass. It's hilarious after games when Dak throws a pick the Dak is the Bestest crowd then spends the entire week trying to justify a questionable decision.

I didn't say it was a bad throw. I said it was a bad decision.

If you thought you were going to make this post without people telling you how dumb of a decision it was then you're just fooling yourself.

Maybe you're just too "football smart" for us dummies.
It was the best decision and throw based on the Defenses movement after snap...

Jackson back peddled vacating 40 yard line...Prescott threw to Vacated area where Lambs Dig route would have given him a high ball catch or run after the catch...

Lamb wasn't focused as usual...dropped passes and sloppy routes are Cousins.

Lamb was already thinking about halftime gear adjustments

Again how can it be a bad decision when you made the right read and the threw it ti the right spot , that's a dummies kind of statement...lol

If the ball hits Lamb in the hands and he bobbles it and it gets INT'd then that's one thing. That didn't happen though. It was picked off easy because it was a dumb decision. When you're in the NFL dumb decisions by the QB easily can lead to turnovers.

I know why you're trying to defend it, but I don't see the need in it.

Had a few people argue with me that the Int was on Dak. When it was on Lamb. I explained Dak was throwing that ball to a spot where Lamb was supposed to be( a timing route) it was a doggone good throw.
We've seen this from Lamb a couple times this year and also heard Jerry talk about wr needing to be in the right places last season. At the 17:25 mark IS breaks down the Int play

Gotta disagree with you. Lamb was there - he was at the spot. The throw was right on target for the route Lamb ran. The problem was that the defense was also there. It's up to Dak to read the defense and know where the safety is.

I think at the end of the day this is a play that you just say there were multiple failures. Lamb probably should have ran a crisper in but Dak has to see the safety there. If Lamb does cut in, that safety is going to light him up and there a chance Lamb can't hold on. Maybe we get a penalty - the safety gets there too early for a PI or maybe an unnecessary roughness call on a defenseless WR.

But regardless that's an extremely small and tight space Dak is trying to fit it into and in that spot, that's just an unnecessary risk IMO. I get it. We were rolling at that point and the adrenaline is flowing and you see the time and think we can just move it down. So he forces a throw. I can't kill him for it. But it wasn't a great decision and it wasn't the best execution by Lamb.

I agree, Lamb didn't cut back in he drifted more out which allowed the INT to happen. It was a lazy route by him.

Was it the right read though? Even a perfect route by Lamb leads to either an incomplete pass or Lamb getting blown up by the DB. Odds of a catch there have to be extremely slim. Dak was excellent yesterday, but that is a throw you make down 14 late and needing to make something out of nothing, not when you are up multiple scores about to go into the half.

I agree thats why i think Dak took the blame even knowing CD had a hand in it...the only throw wouldve been into CD's body and that would have been a super tight window..otherwise CD would've been blasted.

I know why you're trying tp call it dumb when it wasn't and has been said by a former Qb and wr. You can't process how a wr is suppose to be at a spot when the qb is throwing the ball. You saw the need to post in this thread and give your 2cents worth of football knowledge though...lol

Because the safety is literally right there. If Lamb runs the right route, like you claim, that safety is right there to blast Lamb and make a play. You also have to take into account the situation - we are up big and really don't even need 3 there. Forcing a ball into that spot just wasn't wise, regardless of Lamb's failures.

No Lamb wasnt wasn't at the spot, he needed to cross the safety face and he didn't if he does he either catches or it falls incomplete

How is it aterribke decision whe. It's the right read and the right spot...lol
His wr didn't do his part....lol
It was at terrible decision for many reasons. The score. The field position. The coverage. It required perfect execution in a situation that didn't require the field goal it might possibly have lead to. It literally gave the Bears life.

I have no problem with trying for the points on that drive but the leader has to understand the situation and play smarter than that.

I'm sorry that you're "Hey everyone, look, Lamb is the dummy on this play, not Dak!" thread didn't go as planned because, unfortunately for you, not everyone has blinders on.

But I'm bowing out. I'll let you argue with everyone else telling you it was a bad decision to throw that pass.

Yes he's taking a hit, he's a number 1 for a reason, Dez, Irvin , and the top Wrs take big hits all the time. That's a cop out. The situation was they were aggressive all game, they were doing what we all wanted them to do in the past, put their foot on the neck of the opponent, now we want to go soft...lol

As someone who does not have a pro/anti-Dak agenda, I can easily say this was caused by two things ..

1) Lamb altered his route after his cut and if you look, Dak had already released the ball before Lamb altered his route so it was Lamb's fault.
2) It was not a smart throw to make so despite it not being his fault for the interception, Dak should not have made that throw.

Absolutely agree. Lamb should have crossed in FRONT of the safety rather than getting behind him.....and Dak should know better not to make a risky throw in the middle of the field where too many defenders are and bad things happen. This is one where his TE Schultz was open on the hook pattern, but Dak got greedy trying to force a bigger play.
