It was at terrible decision for many reasons. The score. The field position. The coverage. It required perfect execution in a situation that didn't require the field goal it might possibly have lead to. It literally gave the Bears life.

I have no problem with trying for the points
on that drive but the leader has to understand the situation and play smarter than that.

It's not a poor decision when you're trying to strangle the opponent. The wr run his route like he should andnits not an issue.

I think Dak expected CeeDee to cross the safety face. But the safety did make a very nice break on the ball.

I'm sorry that you're "Hey everyone, look, Lamb is the dummy on this play, not Dak!" thread didn't go as planned because, unfortunately for you, not everyone has blinders on.

But I'm bowing out. I'll let you argue with everyone else telling you it was a bad decision to throw that pass.

Good, I didn't ask for your 2cents. See ya

It was the best decision and throw based on the Defenses movement after snap...

Jackson back peddled vacating 40 yard line...Prescott threw to Vacated area where Lambs Dig route would have given him a high ball catch or run after the catch...

Lamb wasn't focused as usual...dropped passes and sloppy routes are Cousins.

Lamb was already thinking about halftime gear adjustments
The best decision would have been to check it down, or just eat it and end the half on a high note.

Was it the right read though? Even a perfect route by Lamb leads to either an incomplete pass or Lamb getting blown up by the DB. Odds of a catch there have to be extremely slim. Dak was excellent yesterday, but that is a throw you make down 14 late and needing to make something out of nothing, not when you are up multiple scores about to go into the half.

Yes it's the right read, if you look it's only the safety there if he misses Lamb is running 50-60 yards at least.

No Lamb wasnt wasn't at the spot, he needed to cross the safety face and he didn't if he does he either catches or it falls incomplete
The ball would have hit Lamb in the gut if the safety hadn't stepped up. The safety was camped in the area, and he had the advantage of watching it all unfold in front of him whereas most of the play Lamb was running downfield with his back to the QB

And as a WR Coach i think thats how you should see it, Make the play..I think the ones saying there may have been better desicions have a point also. No doubt there are some on the thread that are just here to bash Dak but some really do think a check down on that specific play is probably the right desicion.

Watched Dak's postgame press conference and he took the blame. Said it was a case of him trusting his arm too much and thinking he can get away with passes like that.
And that is exactly the reason Dak lovers and Dak haters don't think he can win multiple games in January.

That pick yesterday came at the wrong time when momentum was changing and the Bears came back to life.

I agree thats why i think Dak took the blame even knowing CD had a hand in it...the only throw wouldve been into CD's body and that would have been a super tight window..otherwise CD would've been blasted.
He's a number 1, wrs take big hits all the time. This isn't little league.

Absolutely agree. Lamb should have crossed in FRONT of the safety rather than getting behind him.....and Dak should know better not to make a risky throw in the middle of the field where too many defenders are and bad things happen. This is one where his TE Schultz was open on the hook pattern, but Dak got greedy trying to force a bigger play.
how is he suppose to cross in front of the safety of hes looking back at the ball?

1. Dak stared this down the whole time, allowing Jackson to break on it

2. It was either a miscommunication, poor route, or poor throw

3. It shouldve never been thrown

Even if he's hit, that's what 20 yards.

Maybe not at the level you coach. But among professionals you see Wrs adapting routes all the time.

Not timing route you never adapt a timing route, those are mostly option and sight routes.

Lamb is looking for the ball. He doesn't have the advantage of knowing what replay will show later. It's Dak's job to know where the safety is.

Lamb knows where he has to be , he knows he has to cross the safeties face on the route. He's look upfield at the safety. His laziness allowed the safety to make that jump on the ball.

As someone who does not have a pro/anti-Dak agenda, I can easily say this was caused by two things ..

1) Lamb altered his route after his cut and if you look, Dak had already released the ball before Lamb altered his route so it was Lamb's fault.
2) It was not a smart throw to make so despite it not being his fault for the interception, Dak should not have made that throw.
Yeah even if Lamb does not alter his route and somehow makes that catch he gets laid out!

Because he should be getting to his spot instead of looking for the ball when he's not at the right spot....lol

Had a few people argue with me that the Int was on Dak. When it was on Lamb. I explained Dak was throwing that ball to a spot where Lamb was supposed to be( a timing route) it was a doggone good throw.
We've seen this from Lamb a couple times this year and also heard Jerry talk about wr needing to be in the right places last season. At the 17:25 mark IS breaks down the Int play

https://www.dallascowboys.com/video/talkin-cowboys-whata-forty-burger

Moose, who should be in the HOF for his role in helping Emmitt be the all time leading rusher, who's played the game, he said it was on Lamb. I haven't even read the comments yet but I bet there's about 10 Dak haters here that are arguing with you and Moose by saying that the INT was on Dak. Now let me read the comments to see the regular Dak haters here disputing yours and Moose's claim. lol

Again how can it be a bad decision when you made the right read and the threw it ti the right spot

How was it the right read? The safety was directly in Dak's line of sight the entire play. Dak was looking at the spot the entire time. The safety read his eyes & made the play. Dak had every reason to know the guy was there and bad things were likely. Throw the ball elsewhere or throw it away & go to halftime.
