We just signed EE to a 5yr/35m deal. I think they regret letting DMurray go and the RBBC.

They just restructured TCrawford's deal, just like they would've done for DMurray. They had money for both.

FTR- DMurray had one fumble after Week 8 and we don't get to the NFCCG without him.

He set a franchise record in his first career start with 253 yards in 2011 before the great OL.

He did things Emmitt, Tony D and Herschel never did. You don't have to diminish that.

Loved Murray getting 1800 yards but that is not the season's ultimate goal.
Hated Murray being too slow to the hole and losing the ball at Green Bay.
Suspect Zeke would have gotten us further in 2014...

They were planning money for Crawford, OLs, and someone like Hardy's big salary long term.
They were budgeting to keep all these players for a dynasty.
When they did not resign Murray, I had no problem with it.

It would have been nice if Murray was a better back and deserved the $8M.
We might have won it all in 2014 and 2015.

He also didn't produce until his contract year. He was a constant injury concern and his effort was questioned at times. Red flags pop up everywhere for me when a player totally goes against his normal behavior when money is on the line.

Thing is, that was the line of McFadden coming out of school. He was the best in a decade. He finally lived up to it last season. I believe he was never in the right system till he came here. Another great season would have required Murray money to keep him. That is a dead issue now, and I expect he is fast becoming trade bait.

It is well known that DMac struggled running behind zone blocking schemes and Dallas had to make adjustments for him. Zeke should upgrade the position 100%. DMac is not a physical runner and I have never seen a RB that had good stats, but so little impact in games. The 3TDs is a hint at his lack of production .

Garrett's offense needs a good RB and great run game to be good.
Even JG sees that now.
Our defense actually plays good until the 4th qtr, then they turn into a pumpkin !
I think that has something to do with marinelli and changes they make in late stages of the game.

It is also a fact that our games have been mostly close games where the other team only needs a fg or td to
win it late.
With a offense that scores more we could have 2 score leads, which would help in the late parts of games.

You are rationalizing here. He couldn't score inside the 5 because no one feared our passing game and stacked against the run.

DMC has no lower body. His push is non-existent and his balance isn't much better.

He is a straight line guy that can get thru a tight hole with his speed but that is it.

No lower body? Like the Black Knight in The Holy Grail?

C'mon, quit making up stuff.

I think JG gets another year.....but, if we go out and perform like we did last year, he has to go.

I loved the pick!!!

I'm not a fan of JG at all....loathe him at times and I have a mixed feeling on the draft. Didn't like our execution for using resources needed on team but like some off the guys while disliking others....meh

I have been noticing something rather interesting the past couple of days.

Seems like most of the anti-Gattett crowd LOVES this draft while most of tho pro-Garrett really HATES this draft

Don't really know why, just something I noticed. Maybe the pro-Garrett crowd spent so much time arguing that we didn't need to pay Murray because RBs are not important and then they see the team burn a top 5 pick on a RB.

They can't logically explain the apparent contradiction so they hate the pick.........I don't know, just something I noticed

I am still trying to figure out which side of Garrett sphere I sit on.
