Bo Nix reminds me of Drew Henson. Great arm. Looked the part. His mechanics though…nothing easy or fluid. That type never makes it in the NFL.
Jethro pushed BP to play Henson when he really was not ready. Vinny the old was better.

I don't know on Nix arm but he is certainly athletic and can make plays on the move. I expect his arm is good enough but nobody knows until seen in regular season. Payton claims they gave him the playbook the day before they worked him out and interviewed him. He regurgitated every play and answered all the questions correctly about the playbook. I realize that he was drafted in round 1 and purdy was last pick of draft but if purdy can make it then Nix can too. It will be interesting what Purdy does when the Niners Jaguar of a team becomes a Ford.

There is an entire season of College FB for Sanders to build his resume. I like him so far but not sure Colorado will be any good. So not really sure what kind of resume improvement he can make.

Ewers progression last year was huge. He was like an entirely different player from 2 years ago. Monster arm and hometown kid. Gonna be fun to see if continues to grow as a QB. Right now I'd equate him to Mac Jones. I believe jones got a bad rap being the QB on a Pats team that no longer had the talent and an intolerant coach. They needed to be overhauled.

If the Cowboys move on from Dak, we could see FA's like Darnold and Jones under consideration. Darnold has the keys to a really good offense so he has one last opportunity to prove he has exorcised the ghosts in his head that create his bad decisions. He certainly has the physical ability.

Former Trojan and current Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart can fling it. The A&M and Penn State QBs seem to have strong arms but I need to watch more.

I really like Ohio State's Will Howard (formerly Kansas State) and DJ Uiagaleilei (formerly everywhere) as far as arm strength. DJ has elite arm strength.
But is DJ able to process the coverage quickly enough …… that’s my concern with him.

Shaddeur is solid. He has a live arm and he's mobile. I'm not sure he's Michael Vick-mobile.

He's polarizing because of his dad and the NIL hype so about 50% of the football world (fans, GM's scouts, coaches, media) will hate him.

Beck is good. He's very "safe."

Watch out for Riley Leonard, formerly of Duke and now, much to my chagrin, he's at Notre Dame. He doesn't have the elite arm strength you want in an NFL QB, but he consistently finds way to make plays, and now that he has better weapons, he could put up a ton of TDs.
One game in..................

His passing still leaves a lot to be desired IMO. He made some clutch throws late but also had some really bad misses early. One was a huge play where he short hopped a TB that could have ran for 7 years without being touched. Moves around the pocket well and can run the ball. ND gave up zero sacks against A&M despite having a really green OL and that was, in part, to Leonard being able to move around the pocket. Makeup wise, seems to be a class kid and being named a captain at ND with only being on campus for a few months says something about his leadership.

ND has some cupcakes coming up, so it will be interesting to see how his passing improves. With FSU looking like garbage, ND doesn't play anyone until USC at the end of the year. To win that and be competitive in the postseason, Leonard is going to have to be more efficient/better throwing the ball.

King,

Leonard is not very good. He was brutal in todays huge upset of ND by NIU. A competent QB would have won that game by ten or more.

He’s mobile for sure but he’s just not a very accurate passer.

It is good to be self confident but based on what I have seen so far, I don't believe he is near the athlete Vick or his father was. As far as the Brady part, his team was trash last year, but he has a ways to go on that one.

well said. I agree. In tonight's game against the Huskers, he looks awful. Hate to say it but I will, he might not even be a back up QB in the NFL. Huskers QB Riaola looks much better and pro ready. Sanders is incredibly raw and I aint seeing it with him. I mean this with all respect to anyone that believes in the kid. I think his Dad and media have been unfair to him by laying all that hype and standard on him so fast. Just let the guy play ball Deion and shut up. Thats how I feel.

His Daddy needs to butt out and stop speaking for his son. Hes doing him NO FAVORS. Let him develop on his own and stop all the talkin. Its hindering the kid. PLUS, frankly, He just isn't an NFL prospect in my view. Anytime he plays good competition he gets majorly humbled. Hes an UDFA or late round draft choice in my view.

lookin at Deions staff yelling at the players on the bench and they are tuning him/them out. You can see it.

Yup, but the media is going to talk some team into drafting him high, and he's going to have the career of Vince Young.

nailed it. Yup. The media with his Dads help already crowned the poor kid. Its an injustice on so many levels.

Yup, frankly, he might consider transferring to a school away from Deion so he can have a different voice in his ear before he goes pro.

As a father myself, having had kids play football in HS, what I see his dad doing is sad. He just needs to be DAD not his agent. Ditch the dang huge gold chains Dad. Its not becoming of a Dad and a HC at any level. Be better 21. If I had a son, I would steer him away from playing at CU as long as he is the HC. Loved him as a player, but his coaching style leaves much to be desired.
