Percy, can your share Dak’s success rate when he does get aggressive early in games? (I guess the first 25 mins, since that’s what Adam looked at.)

It’s quite possible that the coaching staff believes that this passing offence is outmatched by most teams’ passing defences early in games. Dak’s success rate late and close may reflect the fact that the opposing team’s defence has been softened up, having been made to stay out there a long time by our ball control offence.

I think Dak's brand of football would be fine if he just used those legs more.

That is his greatest attribute physically. He can move.

But he's constantly stuck in the pocket.

I don't know how many times this year he could've ran for a 1st and he threw the ball so it doesn't just need to come from the coaching.

But sitting in the pocket and taking sacks is something any QB can do so there is no point of having a mobile QB if he's a statue.

A Shannahan type of offense would be perfect for him.

Exactly! Instead of going through all his reads he should be looking at 1 than 2 than can I run. I think Garrett is trying to coach the run out of him while also saying its better to get sacked than make a mistake. When Dak gets down to the redzone is the only time he looks to run and now teams are getting wise to that. He doesnt trust his arm in the redzone and that is a problem.

I see this type of post from alot of you who just dont like dak. Talking about his accuracy. and when people bring up his accuracy and how its not even as bad as any of you make it out to be and is actually good. He was the 10th most accurate paser in the NFL. But then ill read because he dinks and dunks. Dak is right there with Tom Brady(7.6) and Aaron Rodgers(7.4) in avg per attemp at 7.4. and actually was throwing at 8.3 avg per attempt in 11 games with Cooper. Which was in the top 3 during that time frame.

Ever think maybe the offense play calling was a problem? Ill tell you one person who did and that was Cooper.

His accuracy isn’t that great and I like Dak. He has ball placement issues. Throwing behind the receiver when he should’ve thrown in front, receivers having to break stride, turn around to catch the ball when if it had better ball placement it was a touch down.

Completion percentage depends on two things: the QB getting the ball near the receiver and the receiver catching it. It could have been an awful throw and the receiver makes an amazing catch and his completion percentage goes up despite the horrible accuracy on the throw.

Dak can thread a needle every once in a while, but not consistently. That’s what makes him inaccurate.

Dak had a 101.6 rating through the first 3 quarters on these deeper targets in 2018, but that could be attributed to the element of surprise, precisely because of the rarity of such attempts during the first 3 quarters. Even so, that's not exactly evidence that Dak can't be successful on these throws early in games. Because it also allows you to protect your defense, ball control been the obvious philosophy, which is why there aren't any examples of early aggressiveness to compare it to.

The big question is how much of that late-game aggressiveness can you shift to earlier in the game before you start to get diminishing returns.

Yes he missed throws the same way other QBs missed throws. But he is one of better accurate passers in the nfl. People like you will focus on the missed throws and not the good throws which are by far more because of your hate for the QB. And ur frustration Wentz or Goff aren’t a Cowboy.

You see it sometimes with coop too. Like the game winner to him against philly. Inaccurate pass, but caught for a td. An inaccurate pass can still be caught. Coop is amazing.

People like me? Know what, that’s rude as hell and I’m putting you on ignore. I like Dak. He needs to fix his accuracy and he’ll be a HOF’er. Aaron Rodgers needs to fix his clutch ness. Brady needs to fix his old ness. Brees needs to fix his arm strength. Every player has something to work on. Accuracy should be Daks.

And I hate Wentz(he’s an eagle and I’m happy he’s sucking) and don’t care about Goff.
