The incident was about the audio and Mike's team pivoted from Mike reporting it was "something I said" to the lawyer promoting "sexual assault."

Let me ask you. Physically, did this video jive more with what Irvin's team has stated or with what Marriott put out in their statement last week?
What Irvin’s team stated. The only upset person I saw was the lady’s boss. Maybe the boss likes her and does not want her talking to other guys. I have no clue why he was upset. But if Irvin was threatening the lady could have easily called security and her boss over to the conversation.

I mean, when you combine this with Mike's lawyer telling a lie to start the previous press conference that it was the first time Mike has gone public about the story (and not the radio interview that broke the story), it makes you wonder. That's why they promote the "sexual assault" angle that you see people in here repeating because that will get the most "outrage" clicks. But it's about the audio. This video more closely matched what Marriott put out last week and will ultimately be decided by how neat their process was in reporting, etc. I'm wondering if they're going to promote the "angry manager guy made her report this" angle. Doesn't look good to me but the courts get to decide that.
I think that's clearly their strategy. They tried to make it out that she was in trouble for something, likely to give her a reason to say something about Mike.

The discouraging part are all his fans on here talking about irrelevant nonsense. "Sexual assault" was never claimed. No one even accused him of a crime. But people have a right to not be harassed at their place of work. Morons on here acting like every sexual harassment claim must be accompanied by a police report or it's all false.

But some of these people still hold out hope that Jerry's going to build a team that could get Dak a ring. They're well practiced in denying what's clearly seen in favor of fanciful narratives. Jerry has trained them well.

Whatever.
What you or I may think of as inappropriate behavior could differ from what she thought .

I think the bigger question is was it enough to remove him from the hotel and suspend his services from ESPN and NFL?

We’d need to know in detail what was actually said .

The video certainly did not seem to support the charges against Irvin

Right ..

Inappropriate behavior isn’t sexual assault.

I don't YOU tell me. You are the one who said 'Both sides seeing what they want lol'. You made this vague statement. Explain.
Both the Irvin supporters and hotel employee supporters are seeing proof of what they already thought in that video.

I don't see how my comment was vague?

I think its pretty clear there is no evidence to support taking the action the NFL did. Frankly its questionable that it supports Marriot doing anything at all.

If I had to take a shot in the dark, I’d guess the manager was pissed she spoke with him and fearing for her job she said he initiated the convo and said something inappropriate believing that would be the end of it.

Did you find that in the document I provided to you Roy?

No we dont. Seen enough there. She approached him and looked fine with the exchange. Guys should not lose jobs because of a crude pickup line.

Enough of this BS.

It depends what was said . If he made a sexual comment then it could be considered inappropriate. The bigger question is was it enough to spur on the decisions made by the Marriott, NFL and ESPN.
What would the NFLN have done if Irvin hadn't made that call to 105.3?

Were they trying to do damage control and salvage the situation and once he told his story publicly, they had no choice?

Does this just circle back to the NFL?

It's vague because you didn't explain. Now that you did a little bit more it's clearer. It's not that hard man. Explain what you mean and not use riddles 'Both sides seeing what they want lol' Cmon man that's vague.

I thought I saw it reported in another thread that he said “ have you ever felt a black man inside you “.

that would probably be considered inappropriate.

And maybe enough to take action . Especially with his history . Judgement call of course . But if he actually did say something like this then he certainly doesn’t want it to go to court.

That’s not sexual assault nor a criminal act. But would probably be enough for HR to suspend or fire you.

Sounds like NFLN was doing damage control based off of what has happened in the past with Faulk, Heath Evans, even Darren Sharper worked at NFLN. They reacted to what they heard and unfortunately for them it looks like they jumped the gun.

So we're going to court over words now. My goodness if everything that was said to people ended up having an action taken to court we'd all be in trouble. Even if he said this it's not enough to go to court.

My assumption is they took action because he said he'd see her later. That's basically telling her that he's going to keep trying and she shouldn't have to put up with that at work.

He's the one taking it to court. What do you think is happening here?
