Irvin: ROMO should just play

Mike Irvin was on a local radio show......not sure what/when .....and stated that ROMO should not of said that he was going to be a more vocal leader this year since T.O. is gone........that ROMO should just play football.

Irvin believes that now he is a target.

Don't know all the details.....just sharing what was said on WOAI Sports San Antonio tonight.

Irvin was one of my favorite players, but I hate it when he opens his mouth. He was better just shutting up and playing. I'm not sure the same holds true for Romo.

And if he said nothing and just played, everyone including Irvin would say he needs to be more of a vocal leader. Noone can win as the QB of the Cowboys unless they win playoff games and superbowls. Thats what Romo faces and its up to him to get it done. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First he would tell you how he was going to kick your ***; then in step 2 he kicked your ***; and then in step 3 he gloated about how he just got done kicking your ***. These current cowboys have all but mastered step 1, but are nowhere near yet to proving themselves in step 2. So where Irvin is coming from is telling Romo to first go do step 2 before telling us about anything else. I kind of agree too. I'm tired of hearing how Romo can be a leader; I just want him to be one, once and for all.

Michael should thank his lucky Cowboy stars that the undercover video of him buying coke never went public. I loved him as a player but he thinks he is a psuedo coach/gm with his show. Romo will do what Romo does, despite what we feel he should do.

My only problem with Romo saying he'll be more of vocal leader was if I remember correctly, he kind of mocked the idea of being a vocal leader either last year or the year before. Now he's saying he needs to be more vocal?? It just seems like Wade saying he'll be a different kind of coach. It just doesnt seem to fit his character.
