WOW. Hey Hos, could you remind this guy what Mike meant to this organization. He was the beginning of this frachises ressurection and without him I doubt we when 3 SBs in the 90s. Also remind him that we have not won a playoff game since Irvin left. Irvin's personal problems are well chronicled and was a dark time in Cowboy's history but I still think the organization is better today for having Irvin on the team. No matter how you feel about his comments don't forget to handle our HOFers with the class and dignity they deserve.

So is the scoffing at legends who basically are responsible for winning real Super Bowl championships who have their doubts about our current crop of big talkers and small producers.

But whatever floats your boat and makes you feel better and more secure about the current situation, which honestly is a far cry from the winning traditions established by players like Irvin.

What's funny is the respect factor is completely the opposite of how it should be. Those who actually did it are getting less, while those who have done absolutely nothing except talk big or say the right things are getting the benefit of the doubt.

Irvin's point was prove it. It is not a stupid thought, nor is it out of place when it is June.

Surprised that Irvin caught backlash for this. I don't agree with him, and he's contributing to circumstances where the QB of the team can't catch a break, but I'm not even sure his tone was critical. It's possible to say that Romo needs to lead by example and have that just be constructive criticism.

I'm not aware of Michael being critical of Romo in the past or in the defense of TO. Has he publicly drawn sides the way Deion has?

Just step back, be the owner, get a general manager and allow the team to play without injecting himself in every single thing. Somehow 30 or so other owners manage to do just that and still do okay for themselves.

I see no malice in Irvin basically saying to Tony "action speaks louder than words". I'm not getting the reason for all the butt hurt over this. Perhaps someone can fully enlighten me. Tony is fully entrenched in the driver's seat. The car is all his. There's no need to tell me how you're going to drive the Ferarri. Just put the pedal to the medal and leave me bewildered in a trail of smoke.

Some also fail to understand the possibility of an underlying tone here. Perhaps Irvin was mentored in the same way when he was much younger. Perhaps his coaches and mentors told him to just shut up and produce. Perhaps they did that to light a fire (which obviously worked on the field)... Perhaps his motives are the same here... Just a thought...
