Irvin's never exactly been an eloquent speaker. I think he's basically trying to say that actions speak louder than words.

As long as Romo fails late in the season people (like me) will criticize. 2009 he has to go out and prove those people (like me) wrong. He needs to show that he can improve his ball security and overall play late in the season. Man, if he can just improve his ball security, cut his turnovers in half or less, that would help the team SO much. This isn't some impossible task either. It's just something he needs to work on.

like a few posters here said, I do not think Michael meant any harm in what he said. I do not think he had any motive or disgust for Romo in his advice. IMO

I think he is basically telling Romo to play it out on the field, and nevermind the media.

Undue criticism for Romo comes with the job of QB for America's team and he will have to adjust for that. That is what Michael is saying, to not defend yourself in the papers, but rather on the field.

To put things in perspective, Romo is one bobbled snap and a Patrick Crayton catch away from being a 2 time playoff winner, and who knows after that.

I know he's good enough to win playoff games, I just don't know if our line and coaching staff quite know how to protect him yet.

I get sick and tired of ALL the former Cowboys sounding off about this team all the time....they had just as many issues on the team in their day.......maybe Romo should hold up i a hotel with some hookers and do some coke then maybe Irvin would respect him........
