like some have said about Irvin.... you have a history not liking irvin, no?
Yes, I have never liked him since Miami. I didn't want them to draft him but once they become a Cowboy, I put everything else aside and root for them on the field.

I am not saying he is guilty because I don't like him, all I am saying is things don't add up as him as the victim in this and these hotel people out to get him.

We are all speculating and y'all are free to speculate that he is totally innocent and she's a gold digging, sheet wearing racist as well as those that are undecided because innocent until proven guilty should rule the land.

I really don't care what he did but I am thankful we have this to discuss, it's fun and an offseason natural being a Cowboys fan.

One witness said shake hands and laughing, I know some said because of her job and how she is supposed to be to all customers, I been in banking over 30 years but there are some I did and would not ever be kind to someone that treated me wrong or called me a name and I am sure as h—- will not shake your hand and grin in your face.
You would if it was the bank's biggest customer or you'd work somewhere else.

She is in the hospitality business and just like ticket agents for the airlines, trained to deal with difficult or irate people and she is expected to do so unless physically threatened.

My sons and daughter-in-law all come up through the food service industry as waitstaff and I was floored at some of the stuff they had to take from customers.

One chef in Austin when my son and his future wife worked set up a back room with a chair and an overstuffed pillow in it and a tennis racket. The wait staff could go in there, close the door, yell at the top of the lungs and beat the hell out of that pillow because he didn't want them losing their jobs.

My guess is she wanted to hookup later and he turned her down. After she stewed about that for a while, she decided to get even. She got what the young folks say, triggered. A woman scorned.

Drunk??? Uhm those are your words. Nobody said anything about being drunk
My words?

Irvin said he had just gotten back from having drinks with former Cowboys safety Michael Brooks. He admitted that he is unsure of what was said during the brief conversation because he had been drinking.

“It was a minute meeting somewhere in the lobby. I don’t even remember it really because I had a few drinks to tell you the truth,” Irvin said.

"he's my favorite player and he looked in my general direction in one game I was at. I know he was looking at me"

The judge made a ruling to release the video and they fought it. Why? What is there to hide? That seems seedy
the only reason I can think of , is they want the defense to have as little time as possible to analyze the video, before it gets to court.

In the presser the lawyer said he didnt have any drinks except water.
So what was it water or alcohol ?

Over and done with. Nothing we didn't already know regarding the things out there but Irvin's team said Marriott only let them view the video, not turn it over to them as the judge stated they had to. Nothing on the other items like reports, etc. that were supposed to also turned over. They had those same TMZ witnesses on the phone that only stated the same things they stated before. The only things new were that Irvin's lawyer stated the accuser came from behind the front desk to approach Irvin as the group of folks came in from outside from taking photos, that they were obstructed behind a pole as they started to talk, that the conversation lasted about a minute and a half, and that Irvin touched her 4 times (2 hand shakes at the start and end, a touch on the elbow as they talked, and a glancing touch of her elbow as he leaned forward laughing one time).
So he didn't touch her sexually and they were laughing. Either she's lying or the manager has a crush on her and was pi$$ed she was talking to him. I hope Mike sues the absolute bejeezus out of all of them and wins.

The fact that the interaction in the lobby ended with a handshake is a big factor for me. If Irvin had said something offensive or inappropriate, I cannot imagine the other person willingly shaking his hand.

I am not pro-Irvin or anti-Irvin on this, and when I first heard about it, I assumed it had to be true given Irvin was pulled from everything during Super Bowl week.

I get that Marriott being on the other end of a lawsuit is reluctant to comment on it, but their refusal to produce the evidence that has been court-ordered really undermines their credibility at this point.

As I keep mentioning, maybe there was a second interaction later and that is where whatever happened occurred.

If that is not the case though, I would say right now Marriott is reacting like they are guilty of mishandling the situation or at least less-than-confident of their part in all of this.
I hope Michael ends up owning a bunch of Marriott locations. That would be awesome justice.

Regardless of what happened or did not happen, there is little doubt Marriott was involved in the process.

For example, who called the NFL and reported it to them? Was it the woman? Was is the hotel? Was it Marriott?

If Marriott does not own the hotel how did they get in touch with the NFL at a level that could get Irvin pulled from everything so fast?

Marriott is a huge corporate sponsor of the NFL and it would seem that without a police report and without any legal action taken by the woman, the only way the claim makes it high enough and leads to Irvin being pulled that fast in the NFL is if Marriott was involved.
Do we know for certain the inappropriate behavior was against this employee which reported it?

Is it possible this employee was Mgmt Staff or Security personnel who was reporting Irvin’s behavior ?

This might explain a more cordial encounter with Irvin that ended with a handshake. And it’s also possible the alleged inappropriate behavior didn’t happen on this encounter?

So much we still don’t know about the employee , their position with Marriott and the content of the complaint.

Not really.

This is a wealthy celebrity involved in a frustrating legal battle. Comparing it to a lynching - which was an absolutely horrific practice - was a ridiculous thing to say.

If his attorneys advised him to say that then he needs better attorneys.
If you think about it, it was a virtual lynching of his career and reputation. He was found guilty and punished before he was even charged with anything.

This is all kinda weird, I just now was thinking that it wasn't fair or needed for Irvin to be taken off NFL Network , ESPN.
That should not happen until all this is settled.

Think about it, how could they know any more than we do? How can you suspend or fire someone based on unproven allegations?
They should have let him work until this was proven one way or the other.

If he is proven innocent he should sue espn and nfl network for what they did, taking him off the SB,and making him look guilty.

I read what bobhaze said, and I dont presume innocence or guilt, I will wait and see what comes out and see the final results of all this.

I didnt really like irvin playing the race card, as race may or may not have anything to do with all this.
I think more to blame is this whole PC movement is out of control.
I also wonder who really got upset over what happened, was it the woman, the hotel, or maybe her boyfriend or husband ?
How come we have heard nothing from the woman herself?

This presser in post 113 really proves nothing, and didnt show the video, which the hotel would not let them have a copy.

Also it seems there was only 1 camera that showed the part we need to see, and part of it was behind a pole lol.
So a billion dollar hotel only has 1 camera in lobby ? No audio ? and probably grainy picture?

So now is he guilty? and if so of what !! lol no one knows ! Marriot wont say, how bad was it? who knows could be minor or major.
He may have done something wrong or maybe he didnt, hard to say without video and audio.
What does marriot or the woman hope to gain or accomplish with all this? I dont know.

This is why we have lawyers... I had a few drinks and I was drunk are two different things. You think the witnesses will testify if Mr. Irvin was "Drunk," if this goes to court?

isnt it possible the hotel staff just *** up and not exactly "Out to get him?"
