Pittsburgh is one of the best defenses in the league, particularly in the red zone. Cousins (500 yards last week) and Herbert couldn't move the ball on them.
And he had 2/3 of a team, including injuries to Cooks, and while the defense played well...it's a challenge to win a game without Parsons and Lawrence. I bet no general football fan predicted us to win without our top 2 defensive players. I'm seeing QBs this year lose a lot when they had injuries...like Stafford, Purdy, etc.
I'd imagine he'd be Top 6 in Mahomes Mountain this week.

Puleasee don't say championship games & super bowls. Thats Team accolades, Not a QB stat, seen many like Bortles, kap, Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Sanchez, Garoppolo, Foles and many others who were definitely not Elite, BUT somehow ended up in championship games, SBs, or SB winning teams..
I mean that debate how did Eli win 2 Sbs? his bro seemed to be labeled elite but him not, both have 2 rings,
in today's game only Mahomes has been labeled a clear consensus Elite. But look at his last 2 seasons, his #s are far from elite. Daks number been better the last 1.5 seasons or at leasty go back to 2021 his numbers are on par with PM. so Reid, GM, and that staff dont get credit for elevating PM game?
I don't get JAllens label, some do debate hes somehow elite ..right, ok if you add him, now bring back in LJ and Dak that the questions some say yes some say no.. I mean the other guy is Joe Burrows why because he got to a Super Bowl have you seen that talent he had on offense and still has a lot of it four more weapons on offense for sure but look at lately since then he's missed two seasons over a knee which I know you can't take that away from his label as possibly elite but I haven't seen him carry many teams and by the way I've seen at least most of his career they struggled out of the gate. And didn't finish strong many of those days either So what is this meter what is this measuring stick to be called elite because just getting to big games or having an occasional big game because what you're telling around you stepped up your coaching staff out game plan and out adjusted the other team or you didn't have a handful of players on your team obliterate your game?

For me from that old guard Rogers is clearly Elite but one SB win in 16+years? There was a lot of big game losses in there right they couldn't get past the NFC championship game I mean if he was truly elite wouldn't he carry his team past that game you know because Danny white got there a lot and we all know he's not even anywhere near elite...
was Aikman elite?? hmm not in my eyes but it can be debated but if hes in, i have to Bring Dak and Romo with Team success out of it, their skillset and stats can be used to make an argument. ie we know the fact is roger and troy clearly had better teams and coaches top to bottom.
If Troy or rogers are truly elite could they have done more in the exact scenarios with Dak and Romos team, I say Clearly. NO..but again its debatable, its never truly clear how to judge elite.
