Is Dak elite?

Yet you aren’t old enough to remember what real QBs and leaders were like? You think Dak is any leader at all? You think tonight was a great win?

That was not good football. Go back to when Jimmy coached. That was football 101. No lessons have been learned. Mr Landry coached football, and his players had respect for him and the game. That’s not what we saw today or in many years.
Smith dropped the football. Hollywood Henderson pissed off the Steelers. I remember just as sloppy as today.

Good point!
Many forget that Danny was drafted as a punter in 1974 (and he signed with Memphis, WFL)
Geezers like me remember that he was an authentic "triple threat player"; a rarity these days. Or a unicorn.

Not to mention, Dak couldn’t tote his jock as a QB.

I've always thought of Dak as being good but not elite. His consistency is somewhat sporadic vs. good defenses, although, he's capable enough to win, given a fair amount time to throw accurately. Under heavy pressure, he oftentimes tends to react poorly, though.

Elite is best of the group, not a whole group of very good players who occasionally have great moments. Much of this hinges on the team as it's a team sport, but the word "elite" has been misused imo.

No he is not elite and needs help but unfortunately he has a GM that believes he can carry a team and pays him as if he is elite.
Jerry is old and scared and has billions of cash to burn.

Lol oh here we go. Last week it was Josh Allen had a bad game.

Y'all stans are a riot
Ya, here we go right?

Did you even watch the game? did you see some of the throws he needed to make? Ya dude, Cooper Rush could do it in his sleep.

Haters blinded by hate.

The better question is, who does this board thinks is elite? Should really expose a lot of people if they answer that.

Patrick Mahomes ....... he is the only one left after Brady Retired

Now ...... what does that expose about me?

Arguable imo. He always come thru in the regular season.

Pittsburgh is one of the best defenses in the league, particularly in the red zone. Cousins (500 yards last week) and Herbert couldn't move the ball on them.

And he had 2/3 of a team, including injuries to Cooks, and while the defense played well...it's a challenge to win a game without Parsons and Lawrence. I bet no general football fan predicted us to win without our top 2 defensive players. I'm seeing QBs this year lose a lot when they had injuries...like Stafford, Purdy, etc.

I'd imagine he'd be Top 6 in Mahomes Mountain this week.

That last drive was awesome.... great throw, put it where he trust Tolbert could catch it, and Tolbert caught it.
Is Trance a Phenom???

If you have to ask if Dak is elite, he's not elite.... Elite QB's don't make people question if they're elite...
that's total bull hockey total nonsense... there are debates all the time with .... 10 quarterbacks which ones are elite and who's not and wild opinions on who those are..

so where is this elite meter? what measuring stick don't say championship games in super bowls..Team accolades trump the qb seen many like Bortles, kap, Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Sanchez, Garoppolo, Foles and many others who were defiantly not Elite BUT somehow ended up in championship games, SBs or SB winning teams..

I mean that debate how did Eli win 2 Sbs? his bro seemed to be labeled elite but him not, both have 2 rings,,

in today's game only Mahomes has been labeled a clear consensus Elite..but look at his last 2 seaoisn his #s are far from elite..daks number been better the last 1.5 seasons.

I don't get J Allens label some do debate hes somehow elite ..right, ok if you add him, now bring back in LJ and Dak that the questions some say yes some say no..

If we call PM, Farve or Brees elite, somehow all their T/Os get kicked under the rug..

For me from that old guard Rogers is clearly Elite but one SB win in 16+years?

was Aikman elite hmm not in my eyes but it can be debated but if hes in, i have to Bring Dak and Romo with Team success out of it, their skillset and stats can be used to make an argument. ie we know the fact is roger and troy clearly had better teams and coaches top to bottom.
If Troy or rogers are truly elite could they have done more in the exact scenarios with Dak and Romos team, I say Clearly. NO..but again its debatable its never truly clear.

Opinions are not measuring sticks.

165 TD passes in 165 games is not elite in any generation.

Look at the competition when Troy played in the NFC East vs during Dak’s time. Dak ran up numbers against the worst division for years but against the best teams always came up short and when it really mattered. Troy dominated and spread the ball and it’s not about stats alone.

" Always" Really?????? Not really. He can't beat the better teams in the regular season. He has a losing record. And hence, he loses in the playoffs
because that trend continues with better teams that are IN THE PLAYOFFS

How did Troy dominate throwing 165 TD's in 165 games? Please explain.
