Is Giants QB Daniel Jones as good as Trevor Lawrence?

No. Jones gets more grief than he should though.

The right situation- coaching, teammates, etc... makes a huge difference. There are QB's who have failed that would have thrived in a different situation, and successful ones that would have washed out with a different team.
Well that's why they brought in Dabol....to be his Josh Allen...only problem is....Daniel Jones ain't Josh Allen lol

To create a false narrative, more realistically.

It's like comparing Jalen Hurts to Lamar Jackson on rushing TDs.
No it's not lol. It's like comparing Dak's yards to Hurts yards. How you get your yards shouldn't matter.

It shows t hey have contributed the same amount of production. With his great arm talent and all to put things in perspective he hasn't contributed much more than him.

Hmmm…. Lawrence is in his 3rd season, Jones 5th. Half of Lawrence’s losses came in his rookie season after taking over as a starter for a historically bad team. He’s turned Engram and Kirk into respectable players after being borderline bust the previous 4 or 5 seasons. Ridley is coming off a 2 year hiatus in part for a mental breakdown and Zay Jones is as average as it gets. So far Lawrence hasn’t been the 2nd coming of P Manning but he’s a damm hell of a lot better than the joke that is Daniel Jones!

Jones is mediocre. At best. The guy finally put together an average season last year and the NY media lost their minds. While I do think Lawrence is overrated a bit due to the college hype, he's still the superior QB to Jones.

Daniel Jones' supporting cast has been horrible in his years with the Giants. Trevor won't get a pass for being mid.

Really want to see want Daniel Jones can do with a decent oline.

If the world is real...and adversity makes you better...hasnt he had like the worst oline play in the league during his tenor and still kind of patched it together.

My point is...has all the adversity he has faced sped up his decision making skills? Or...has he been a s s regardless.

Seems like he is a candidate for someone that might be better than advertised based on his team.
I agree...what's funny, is the higher the draft pedigree the more excuses people make for them. Trevor was labeled elite before he played his first game...he has produced mediocre stats, has an exceptionally hight TO rate (especially if you include fumbles lost) and you have people in this thread already saying he would have better stats if he had better players around him...those exact same posters will post in another thread that an elite QB doesn't need to be carried by talent around him, he elevates the team. It's such a double standard.

One guy plays in New York, the other in Jacksonville.

Same reason Dak gets ripped by the media after a bad game, but when Trevor Lawrence lays an egg at home in a 23-7 loss to Baltimore (on NATIONAL TV, mind you), you don't hear a peep.
