Is Giants QB Daniel Jones as good as Trevor Lawrence?

Lawrence has all the potential in the world and really should be outproducing Daniel Jones. Outside of their own physical attributes, every excuse you could use for Lawrence you can use for Jones, except Lawrence is playing in a much weaker division and the Jags should own that division, instead they're in a 3-way tie. Lawrence may have the physical attributes and potential, but he's got to apply it and he's been underwhelming so far. He's still young and has a higher ceiling than Jones, he just has to go out there and prove it.

My bad. For some reason, I thought you were talking about Joe Burrow, the guy in Cincy. However, I would have to disagree with that too. We'LL have to wait and see.

One must remember that his rookie year Lawrence was stuck with the Urban Meyer mess....

Lawrence's 1st year may as well be thrown out given the total cluster that was going on there.

But although he's shown flashes of greatness at times since then, he has underachieved so far overall.
He is ABSOLUTELY a franchise QB though
Not based on his results. And I think it's safe to say Jones situation in NY was much better.

My spidey senses tell me perhaps a better choice of HC and OC is needed for Lawrence before his career goes down the path of Jones/Herbert. I think we see this year that QB development is very much tied to proper coaching, and not sure Pederson has a great track record

Lawrence has all the tools to be great...I guess he has to prove it with his mind now.

Anyone notice that the guy will freaking risk his health to make a tackle after an INT? Ive seen him twice recently just go all out...like dawg mentality trying to get the ball carrier. Seen him not give up and try and chase down like a 90 yard pick six INT too. Hes got fight. Hes got size. Hes got to prove it with his head now.

Im a casual...but does Daniel Jones not piece it together decently considering his circumstances? Terrible line play...and the guy refuses to come out of games even when down big. He seems to have some really good qualities...but Im not a talent evaluator or a QB scout. He might be terrible at decision making. But...he seems to make things better than they look or should be with that oline and all the pressure he has had last few years. Would not be surprised if that guy excelled with a decent oline. Dudes been under constant pressure for 3 years and still pieces it together. Not a football whiz...but that sounds like he is making quick good decisions to combat the oline play.
