Brock Purdy, last year's Mr. Irrelevant, is the odds-on favorite to win NFL MVP.I agree...what's funny, is the higher the draft pedigree the more excuses people make for them. Trevor was labeled elite before he played his first game...he has produced mediocre stats, has an exceptionally hight TO rate (especially if you include fumbles lost) and you have people in this thread already saying he would have better stats if he had better players around him...those exact same posters will post in another thread that an elite QB doesn't need to be carried by talent around him, he elevates the team. It's such a double standard.
And the media can't help falling over themselves trying to come up with excuses for why Purdy shouldn't get any credit for his success.
As if Kyle Shanahan is SUCH a wizard that he can turn a scrub into the NFL MVP.
