Is it the scheme or the QB?

Even Chris mentioned the “Texas West Coast” had not implemented much of the WC yet, as if it was a go. He mentioned the 7 step blocking schemes. He failed to mention Linehan, who used it a lot in his other stints, basically eliminated it for Dak, as he can’t throw from a traditional drop back under center.

The fact of the matter is they didn’t change as much as people are saying, because they have tailored everything for Dak 8 years running. 70% is the still “go to” number they quote regarding how much the playbook as remained.

OCs have always been limited with him.

Its both but they are holding Dak back. His first years before the injury Dak played fearless and worse thing you can do is hold the qb back with the scheme
No he didn’t. He had all day to throw because of the OL, teams started spying on him in the red zone to eliminate the QB read option in the red zone and teams hasn’t figured out how Linehan was using Beasley. Defenses the next year say on the out routes and Dak stunk it up, especially when Zeke was suspended for 6 games. Then without Amari it got worse and even with Amari Dak still SUCKED against zone coverages.

Now Dak no longer has that OL and RG that wears down the defenses front 7, where defenses were forced to play man so much. He sees a lot more zone and he’s exposed.

They have to move on from Dak right now to develop the future. They must find out what this team can do without the restrictions Dak puts on it. Both backups should be getting reps from here on out.

There is nothing that can be taught or coached into Dak to become a winning QB. Don’t feel sorry for him, he got generational wealth for he and his family with limited skills that most of us never have a chance to achieve.

My God, it's year 8. Is this even a question at this point? I was told it was all KMs fault and we'd see a whole new and improved Dak!

Sorry folks, if your pie recipe calls for apples and you're using horse ****, I don't care how much you tweak the other ingredients, it's gonna taste like horse **** pie.
As some point people need to stop lining up to kick the ball held by Lucy.

why can't they just let dak hand the ball off? I bet he would be top 2 in handoffs. Pick up a WR that can throw and use him in passing downs. leave dak alone.

It is definitely both. Dak is a slow processor and he is inaccurate because he takes too long to think and he winds up rushing his throws. But the offense does not get his receivers open to where he can get them the ball. They are not using Cooks correctly. I can imagine after a few more games he is going to start complaining about it.

But it is also the running game. They should have been able to run the ball better tonight. They could have gotten more yards up the middle than trying to run outside. There was no room outside at all tonight. The 49ers LBs are just too quick to beat them out there. Run at them, even if you old get 4 or 5 yards.
I disagree with some of this. The 48ers said before the game that they were going to stop the run and make Dak win it. They simply did exactly that. The team couldn't capitalize on them selling out for the run.

Who is more to blame, the scheme or the QB?

I see alot of fans blame mccarthy and his wco for the offensive performance tonight but coming into this game, the offense was one of the best at sustaining drives and getting into the redzone. However, tonight was pathetic.

Are receivers really not open or is the QB too scared to attack the MOF?
Last night wasnt any different than Prescott last year under Moore.

Dak puts in great effort.. people like him. I'm sure he's a fine person to be around. He simply cannot read zone defenses.. visualize a few seconds ahead and imagine a WR open then.. and he cannot hit players in stride for YAC with any consistency.. The only on the field he can do with any consistency is hit near stationary check downs and hold on to the ball for too long. He is who is he.

He's a big QB and used to have a run threat dynamic that helped him some. That's all over. He's slow, and he doesn't have all world OL anymore. And nor should it be expected he need an all pro at every position to be effectively play QB.

Maybe if we paid him 20 mil a year and invest 30 mil a year into the OL.. but that isn't happening, and Fredbeard, a young Tyron Smith/Zack Martin aren't walking through the door.

They know what Rush can do, he is again a limited guy. At least he is paid like a backup. Lance is the one you need to find out what he has.

I think its both, which is a bad combination. I don't how 9ers ware able to scheme open their WR...I mean wide open and our WR are always next to a defensive player. is that our defense sucking or is it their offense is so good. I mean that play down inside 5, pass to the full back, wide open. we get inside the 10 and we run high school plays and play like we are jr. high players. and Pollard is way over rated.

It was working with KMoore.
was pretty much the same vs good defense stop teams as it is now. Broncos brought it to light and weve been unable to beat it when executed well.
Only outlier i saw was against the eagles last year, but three years ive basically seen the same offense vs the 49ers.

yeah they can supposedly scheme against a top defense but we cant. Dak has a lot of blame but at the same time the disparity between receivers being open on both sides was glaring.

Dak takes to long to go through his progressions, he's also not accurate enough. I would start Tray Lance and get him reps, if not successful look to draft a QB.

Bro Aaron Rodgers couldn't stand McCarthy and called him a fraud and the second they got rid of him Rodgers won two straight MVPs. McCarthy is garbage.
