Is Micah really on the level of Lawrence Taylor?

Ive been hearing/seeing this a lot lately.

To the older fans out there that have seen both play in real-time, is Micah on his level?

Hard for me to believe that Micah is on a trajectory to be the GOAT defensive player.

No. Not even. See me in five years.

LT is one of the absolute GOATs.

As Bill Belicheck once said when asked about another incredible player…We are talking about Lawrence Taylor here.

Micah has a ton of potential, and I love it that he is on the Cowboys, but I saw LT play enough to know that there will never be one greater. That air isn’t just rare, it is different!

Guys like Derek Thomas and even Von Miller were game changers like Micah, but we are talking about Lawrence Taylor here.

I think he is as good, and will be better. Because we have to take in account, LT didn't get moved around like this. I have never seen a guy that gets moved to so many spots and is still this disruptive.
I find that just insane... Plus he has a quality like Taylor as well... he wants to be the best. Not just money he wants, he wants to win a ring, and he wants to be the best. He is a throwback to another time and mindset.

Not to mention, pretty sure LT was coked up in many games lol.

I don't really understand how Micah is so damn strong either... I've seen the guy get triple teamed and still pushing the linemen backwards.
In reality he looks strong, but not that strong to be able to do that... Man got that tendon strength haha.

So freakin fast too...
He gets moved around to get him favorable match-ups. That’s not what makes him special.

I was thinking the same thing. As I guy who saw LT play a lot, Micah is coming close, just need more games which I believe he will get. Just need to stay injury free. LT did talk alot of trash and some of it was quiet funny. The thing is he could back it up.

not quite, lots of similarities but so you can compare them but Micah is not at that level just yet. Then again Micah isnt coked up when he plays, like LT was

No.

Lawrence Taylor's contribution to the team resulted in a Super Bowl championship in his sixth year.

Micah Parsons is going to accomplish this in half the time.

As far as using any other criteria....who cares?

He's not the second coming of LT, based on how they play. Even though Micah weighs more than LT didi look at the differential between LT/Micah and their opposing Tackles. LT looked bigger that most opposing Tackles and was able run through them, whereas Micah's main strength is that double elite speed. This isnt decrying Micah's strength, nor LT's speed and both have that motor and never give up attitude.

Different style of player at (pretty much) the same position.

He's LT in almost every way, just in a different day. Less cocaine.

No, Micah Parsons is genetically Micah Parsons and he isn't a byproduct from LT's mommy and daddy. Performance wise Parsons does it his own way. What's next, is Micah Parsons "faster than a bullet", "stronger than a locomotive", "able to leap tall buildings at a single bound'? Get a grip folks.

To this point yes he is on LTs level. The ability to take control of a game is very reminiscent of LT. Can he keep it up only time will tell. At this point you are watching greatness just doesn’t come around very often. GOAT to early for that talk and after seeing most of LTs games I can say both are generational talents.

No question about it Parsons is on that level. The difference between the two is Taylor loved Coke Classic and Micah loves Coke Zero.

A few more years of this productivity and coke outs him there.
