I find it amusing that anyone would need to ask if Philly is building better teams than the Cowboys. Just in the past five years, Philly has been to two Super Bowls winning one of them. The past 20 years they’ve had much better teams than the Cowboys. It’s pretty obvious they’re building better teams. The Cowboys haven’t even won a divisional round playoff game in almost 30 years. The reason the Cowboys keep spinning their wheels is Jerry has too big an ego to allow anyone other than himself to run the team. The way he runs the team hasn’t worked in three decades.

they always have a dominant two way dt. they had f cox for a decade. Now they have two younger d tackles with cox still rotating. we have good outside guys like ware and
Micah. Their defenses are consistently more physical and better against the run. we both build up the o lines and receiver corps. you can argue daks a better qb. they have two number one wr s and a top te. they made two superbowls in the last 5 years. we often rush the passer and cover well but struggle defending the run. Is that the key?
First off Prescot is in no way shape or form better than Hurts..... Unfortunately, you're comparing Prescot with the wrong Philly QB. The Philly QB that Prescot may or may not better than is Wentz and since Wentz is currently out of the league then Prescot is now considered WENTZ 2.0 for his inability to get the Cowboys to the next level just like the original Wentz couldn't do with Philly teams of the past. Wentz 2.0 is an overpaid, over hyped, less than mediocre QB who goes MIA in meaningful games. Whereas Hurts, unfortunately is a pretty good QB who has Philly up there with the elite teams in the NFL. No, Wentz 2.0 isn't close to being good as Hurts ...............

This is nonsense. No owner cares about winning more than they care about making money.
Show me an owner who’s worried about losing money in the NFL. It’s the lowest risk business model ever.

And…your point is another reason why having your owner also being the GM is a really bad idea. The winning owners of the last 27 SBs- 100% of them- all hired someone else to be their GM. Because the GMs primary job is to WIN. That’s not our GM’s primary purpose.

It's not about not losing money, it's about making money. They are all there to make money and maximize profits. The idea that pro sports franchise owners care, at all, about winning, is foolish. They like to win insofar as it improves the bottom line. That's it.

Ok well owners hire bad GMs all the time, that discrepancy means nothing

Even small decisions matter and they add up over time. A GM who will lose his job if the team is not winning is going to make every decision he can in the best interest of the football team. Jerry is going to play with his favorite toy however he wants and there is nothing you or any one else can do about it.

AJ Brown Trade
DeAndre Swift Trade
Drafting SEC defensive players

And the biggest secret weapon is retaining Jeff Stoutland (OL coach) for so damn long

Well, they do have a GM who can be held accountable.
BINGO.....when your arse is on the line, it does have an effect on your performance and provides a more sense of urgency. No wait til next year crap, which never comes.

Ask any person in the NFL and they will tell you Philly is a better run football operation then Dallas from soup to nuts. PS. Proof is in the pudding and our pudding has been pretty moldy for some time.
