they always have a dominant two way dt. they had f cox for a decade. Now they have two younger d tackles with cox still rotating. we have good outside guys like ware and
Micah. Their defenses are consistently more physical and better against the run. we both build up the o lines and receiver corps. you can argue daks a better qb. they have two number one wr s and a top te. they made two superbowls in the last 5 years. we often rush the passer and cover well but struggle defending the run. Is that the key?
As much as I dislike the eaglets, any kind of objective comparison of us to them the last 27 years is no comparison.
Here the comparison evidence since our last SB win in Jan 96:
  • The Cowboys have won 4 wild card playoff games, 0 divisional playoff wins, 0 conf championship appearances, 0 SB appearances.
  • In that same period, the eagles have won 16 playoff games, 7 divisional playoff games, played in 7 conference championship games, winning 3 NFC championships, 3 SB appearances, 1 SB win.
Objectively, the eagles have been way better.

I know these are the facts but it’s still bad seeing it written out like this lol. Philly has been blessed as a sports town as of late sadly

Well let's see. Has philly done better in the playoffs in recent t years? I'm thinking 2 trips to a SB is better than a team who barely wins wildcard weekends
Even though the Eagles have done better than the Cowboys as of late, I would still rather be a Cowboy fan. That is my biased take on the situation. Fly eagles fly my tushy. :)

The truth hurts. The only NFC East team we have more playoff success in the last 27 years? Washington. The giants and eagles have accomplished way more.
However…we can take great solace in knowing the Cowboys are more financially valuable. Right?

They have a GM that seems to be really good at trading average QBs for 1st round picks. I’m still annoyed that Min traded a first for Bradford of all people. Then once they have extra picks it seems they are pretty good at flipping them to creat more value.
This was my 1st thought. They are much better at making trades. And maximizing the deal in their favor. But not just to QB's. But elsewhere as well. They took those picks and traded away a 1st round to the Titans and got AJ Brown. Arguably one of the best WR's in the NFL. Not only that helped the team, an Hurts. It allowed Davonte to play better as well.

They always had a strong front 7, though this year seems a bit weaker than normal. But they do have a few injuries.

But yet Dallas always plays them tough most of the time. Matchups. But how will they be this season. We will find out in 2 weeks.

Yes. The Eagles are one of the few teams that actually focus and make moves to win championships. Similar to the Rams. The Cowboys used to be in this club, but Jerry made so many bad moves they had to move away from that tactic.

Better owner, GM, and a coach that players are excited about; I have to say yes.

Groceries are bought at the same market; one organization is better at cooking.
Well, yes to a degree.
There is a difference in the groceries you sometimes get.

A $2 apple vs. a $1 apple. They get that $2 apple for $1, we get a $2 apple that is rotten inside but we don't see it.
As well, we always go for the $1 apple if FA. While paying our own apples $3.

Simplest and best analogy so far:hammer:

All very true...yet despite all of the eagles success they only have 1 sb out of that time frame. ...granted we have none but still there is something to be said about that element

The answer is pretty obvious to me. The Eagles bring in top tier FA's and use the draft very well by selecting nearly the best BPA every time. The Cowboys supposed GM looks for Big Lots deals every chance he gets. Once in awhile they find a golden nugget. That's about it.

I will give Philadelphia credit with their build through the trenches philosophy that goes back to the Buddy Ryan days. Their lines hide some big weaknesses that they have in their back seven and quarterback.

LOL.

In what world have the Cowboys been better at roster building, especially in the last say 2 decades?

They literally won a SB in 2017, tore the team apart and 5 years later were back in the SB again and are one of the favorites in the NFC to go back this year?

For sure. The Cowboys all time history in the SB era is better with 8 SB appearances, 5 Lombardis, and 36 playoff wins. It’s just that since Jerry decided to be the centerpiece of this organization, the roll call of success in the playoffs has slowed to a crawl. That’s the part that is so frustrating.

Are we doing this again do we really gotta have a conversation about the Philadelphia Eagles on the front page of what we call the fan zone I'm not a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles I'm a fan of the Cowboys zone so if you wanna put this put this in the off topic crap because I don't wanna see it and don't say I could pass it up because I have to see it it's on the front page at the very top it should not be on the front page it needs to be in the off topic NFL zone until the week we play them you wanna talk about them the week we play them that's OK after that this is a off topic it doesn't belong here I put my foot down and I know I'm not gonna get any good feedback from this but I'm gonna say what I say!!!! And by the way we dropped 40 points on them last year the most any team has on that defense with all those players on that defensive line all those players couldn't stop anybody when their offense wasn't playing well could they sound familiar?
I'm not that impressed with the Eagles I feel like we're shoulder to shoulder with them this is exactly how we thought the NFC East was gonna go and we will settle it on the field.. When's the last time the Eagles dominated the Dallas Cowboys seriously? They beat Cooper rush last year with three interceptions and it took a fourth quarter player two from them to win.. Is that not eye opening I mean jalen hurts has never beat Prescott Prescott record against the Eagles is very good so I don't know why we're sitting here talking about the Philadelphia Eagles as if they're Patrick mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs because they're not and even the chiefs aren't the chiefs this year but the chiefs and Patrick my homes are the only team I would discuss that are that much better than the Cowboys there isn't a bigger gap anywhere else outside of our biggest challenge would be beating the 49ers but still it's not the Eagles...

So yes the Eagles built a very nice organization they have seen a resurgence but again they're not dominating us they're not beating us that'd be the 49ers....
