Is there any doubt now that officials are crooked?

It can't make things worse....it 100% needs to be exposed, and Booger blew his opportunity. Especially since FOX had already laid the groundwork for him by citing the 38 quarter thingy. Taking the high road isn't gonna make a damn bit of difference.
I listened to the interview. He didn’t take the high road. Jerry indicated that the rules as written and applied limit what Parsons is capable of. He said holding is permitted to a point if it isn’t deemed to impact the play. He indicated the problem is that Parsons is so quick that the rules as applied limit him.

Yes, though that doesn't change the fact that there are several plays where the holding does impact plays, and it's not called. Though I get it from Jerry, he's probably not wanting to piss off Goodell anymore than he is with us. Plus, it'll probably be something that gets worked on in the offseason.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Micah Parsons not drawing an offensive holding penalty since October:

“I don’t think the intent (by the refs) is to take a player of his skill and limit him. … There’s no question that Micah is having restrictions that if turned loose would result in a sack of the quarterback.”

Jones says officials are making judgment calls on plays others can’t make, but Parsons can.

Restrictions = holding
Jerry has to a company man, but he just said what's going on.

He did allude that the rules suck and should be revisited without saying it in so many words

I wouldn’t describe officiating as biased. I would say it’s selective and uneven over the course of games. Officiating has favored the Cowboys at times, imo. However, because officiating is so uneven, the outcomes often feel manufactured.

Having said that, what’s going on with Micah is ridiculous.

And y'all wonder why the officiating is atrocious? Jerry doesn't do anything about it. He's not reaching out about it. So the players have to in the media.....

Tbf, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe he has reached out to the league office about it and he's saying this to not churn things worse than they already are for us.

Jerry Jones, " I wish Godell would turn me lose. I know they are trying to hold me down and kill my skill set."

Even that's not consistent. How many holding calls against Dallas alone let alone other teams have been called away from play having no impact on the play?

If they run that same play they ran for a TD where no one covered the player..yes. But it’s still 3rd snd 1. Y’all are claiming the refs lost us a game. It’s simply untrue and never has been. Two weeks ago against the Eagles we got a ton of calls but it didn’t fit the narrative. This game was in the Oline and D not getting a stop
Even if you accept that the D failed to get a stop would you not concede that it's a LOT harder to get said stops when the opponent is allowed to blatantly hold our guys? If you tilt the playing field to make it more difficult for the guys to do their jobs how can you then complain that they don't do their jobs as well as you would like? Yes the Cowboys got a number of calls against the Eagles.. but that's not the point.. There were probably 20 other calls they DIDN'T get that got swept under the rug because they won going away. Just because you won the game doesn't mean they didn't TRY to screw you.. Sometimes they just fail at it.

Oh come on! What happened to telling it like it is? The refs are a twelfth man out there (and a thirteenth and even fourteenth). Typical Jerry, all mouth until it can get him into trouble.

Jerry doesn't care.

Probably not, as he makes money regardless of what happens. That said, I also think he might be playing both sides here. He's been in the NFL Ownership game long enough to know how to play the Goodell politics game. So, the way I read his comments causes me to think that he is trying to sweet talk the officials a bit. I'll give an example of what I mean. I was watching the Liverpool Arsenal Premier League match, and the announcer who used to play said that his dad taught him to learn the officials name and to be polite to the official. In other words, to refer to the ref as sir or Mr. Ref (depending on the ref's name). Every so often, the ref would give him a favourable call for treating him politely. Maybe the players would be well served to try this approach?
