Time Of Posession
2.) Dallas 32.21
4.) Seattle 32.06
5.) Detriot 31.59
21.) Green Bay 29.41

They struggle also against teams who don't let them control the pace of the game. By the way, we got 4 sacks against one of the best OL in the league.

Keeping the ball definitely helps. But it isn't going to help the defense when they are actually ON the field..teams like sea, buf, Det SHUT gb DOWN...Dallas cannot and will not

Yeah, last week vs philly was encouraging from a pass rush perspective...but that's not the norm for this team...if it's becomes the norm, my opinion will change

Very true. Seems like their little "mini slump" started with us.

They lost the week before in San Diego after looking great the first two weeks. It was the Cowboys that burst their bubble of invincibility at home. I think it was that loss that really rattled that team and made them question themselves.

You don't have to shut them down you just need to put up more points at the end of the game. Defense is not dominate yet they are 4th in take away in the NFL. Hell give them some credit for that.

Yeah to go along with the 19 sacks we got the entire rest of the season. Stop. We didn't suddenly discover a pass rush because Sanchez turned into a deer in the headlights at the end of that game.

And all of you dreaming about GB in Lambeau or NE in the SB, you might want to worry about Andrew Luck coming in here, carving up a terrible secondary and knocking us out of everything first.

I'm just saying, maybe we're finally on to something.

Thank you for your refreshing honesty. I wear it like cologne.

Sanchez sacked himself in the 4th quarter.

GB's defense is terrible. If we set the tempo like we have all season, we'd beat them easily. Also, Rodgers is great and all but not a risk taker. Get them behind early and it's over.

If the Packers defense is terrible then the Cowboys D isn't much better theirs ranks only one spot higher. Rodgers would have a field day day throwing the ball against the Cowboys defense. If the Cowboys got the Packers down early they wouldn't be able to keep them down with a QB like Rodgers who can light it up. We just saw Philly score 24 unanswered points with Mark Sanchez at QB. Last season with Matt Flynn at QB the Packers overcame a 23 point deficit to pull out the win. Eddie Lacy ran all over the Cowboys for 141 yards.

The best the Cowboys could hope for vs GB is a high scoring shootout. The Cowboys don't have a good enough pass rush to disrupt a QB with a quick release like Rodgers has. The Packers defense didn't allow Philly to make a game out of it when they got them down. When Rodgers is on his game it's over! He had a rough day vs Buffalo but the Bills have a very solid defense that ranks 5th in the league. The last team the Cowboys want to face in the playoffs would be the Packers.

I hear you. And I'm just saying this is a very lose-able game on Sunday after a huge emotional win last Sunday and against a QB that will not miss when Carr gets lost in coverage.

Let's get in first then we can speculate who we can beat. Personally I'm the biggest Commander fan ever on Saturday.

I remember seeing some blitzes and pressure that forced bad throws and throw aways too. I thought the defense did a solid job against the a team that is only 2 points away from being the highest scoring team in the league. Why no one else is getting that I don't know. Philly offense is incredibly explosive and we beat them in their house. Defense deserves a large sum of that win too.

In the playoffs, you'd have to do it 3-4 straight weeks against teams as good or better (maybe way better , given Sanchez).
You won't hear me say "no way" but it really is not at all the same as winning one game on a given day.

But yes, on a given day this team for sure can beat anyone.

I agree right now Dallas has won nothing, they have only put themselves in a position to contend. This is a big game and if by some outside chance Philly screws up Sat then Dallas would have the chance to seal the deal

The Eagles have scored a lot of special teams and defensive touchdowns this year. Their offense is far from league best. You're talking about a team that had 120 yards of total offense against the Seahawks the week before.

Oh I hear you. I wasn't just saying 'in the playoffs'. I just said we're capable of being a Superbowl contender. We gotta control the ball to beat The Colts for sure. We keep them off the field and gash the ball like we've been doing, it's as winnable as any other game we've played. Indi is 17th against the run. We should be able to play Cowboys football and stay in that game.

Outside of Washington (and that's a "maybe"), Dallas won't play another QB anywhere near as bad as Sanchez this year. Of course, that's assuming we make the playoffs and have more than two games left.
Our nonexistent pass rush is easily my biggest concern going forward. I have nightmares of QB's having all day back there to scan the filed until our weak secondary breaks down (which doesn't take anywhere near all day to happen).

yeah, sorry about that. Their enviroment in a town that someone has to die to get season tickets and are tough as nails there. oh, and its cold as hell and Dallas is a dome team..

Thanks for the explanation.
I agree that Dallas is a dome team, but a running game is the great neutralizer when you're talking about cold weather.
Besides, the Packers are beatable in Lambeau Field. A running Michael Vick (with Atlanta) beat them years ago, as did the Giants.
Yes, they'll have home field advantage, but I still like our chances.

If we make the playoffs all my hope will lie with the offense and their ability to dominate the clock and keep our defense off the field.

On defense, I hope for maybe a couple of turnovers somehow some way. I don't look for that group to truly stop anyone.
