Since the team's popularity was scientifically documented at 22% ten years ago, it's not illogical to assume that at or around that figure now. Psst! 23% does not equal "one out of four". :)

Your stats are based on what is your first and second favorite teams. As a Broncos fan I don't have a second favorite team. I would say that is the case with most fans. Data 10 years ago is pretty old. Only 1,000 people surveyed and only 541 said that they were even fans. That is a very small sample size. Flawed stats.

1. I never stated a "first or second favorite team".
2. I never stated that you had a "second favorite team".
3. Your opinion (minus facts) is noted.
4. Data, while old, is still relevant if it can be substantiated.
5. A small sample size conducted via a scientific survey will always be more reliable that any size sample obtained in an unscientific one.

no. this is gonna be an *** whooping. 35-10 type win. wont be close. you can book that.

(and I haven't thought the Boys would win big since the TB game)

Broncos fans are all gassed up after handling 3 of the worst teams in NFL, cmon now. JaMarcus Russell? please.

stole the win from Cincy, shoulda lost.... (amazing luck)

just not an impressive team. wont even make the playoffs. (will lose 7 of their next 8)

What is your second favorite team and would you consider yourself a fan of that team?

I'm like Alan Rickman in Die Hard: "I must have missed 60 Minutes. What are you saying?"

when there are millions upon millions of NFL fans in America a sample size of 500 is extremely small.
And you obviously believe that any unscientific poll is more accurate.

Gullibility. :)

Where's the "only if we win" option?

I thought about putting a "it doesn't matter till Jerry Jones is dead" option in there for the Eeyore squad ..... but figured you guys embarrass yourselves enough.

I can do a scientific poll but if my sample size is too small then the data will not be very accurate. I thought people learned this in 7th grade science class.

Your poll asks people what are their favorite 2 teams. I would say the majority of NFL fans have just one favorite team. This also leads to an inacurate poll. Read slowly and say the words out loud if it helps.

So this really isn't a serious poll, gotcha
Oh, it's serious enough, but it is lacking all available options. Speaking of which, Romo's sitting on the "Nothing's important until Jerry Jones is <blank>" option. Get your vote in before the poll deadline! :)

1. Not only are you not going to personally conduct a scientific poll ( ), you aren't going to rebute anything within this thread by searching and posting a scientific one.

2. If your 7th grade science teacher taught that his students to rely on pseudo data, he or she screwed you royally.

1. It is not "my poll". It is a "Harris Poll", of which was conducted by a reputable worldwide survey firm.

2. The Dallas Cowboys is my favorite NFL team. I have no second favorite. If you have more than one favorite NFL team, knock yourself out. I've never understood the concept myself.

3. Unless you can present a s-c-i-e-n-t-i-f-i-c poll, you just running around with your head cut off.

That troll smell is creeping up to a perceivable stench...

So just because it is a scientific poll even though it is flawed in many aspects that makes it the truth? I dont have an exact % but my guess would be from 5-10% of all NFL fans are cowboys fans. That would make them the most popular in the NFL but in no way deserving of a title "America's Team".

as I have stated 1000 times...it is only a big game if we lose. Didn't you get the memo, Tony has never won a big game. He wins 7 out of every 10 games he starts, but NONE of them were big. I mean after being a QB in the NFL for the past 10 years you would have thought he would have won a BIG game by now...how many more years is Dallas going to give him to win a BIG game.

Quick question....since we lost to the Giants, and Tony yet again lost a big game, here is my question. Had the kicker for the Giants missed the kick, would that have been considered a BIG game TONY won?

Let's see....
1. Division Rival
2. First Game in the Death Star
3. National Game

Yes...it was a big game...and yes Tony contributed to the loss.

I know Tony contributed to the loss...but had we won, would Tony have been credit for winning a big game? I think the answer is no, because we won in spite of Romo. That is just the way it is in Dallas. Think back to the Super Bowl with Big Ben against the Seahawks, the Steelers won in SPITE of Big Ben, but hey, the Steelers won, so Big Ben is a BIG GAME QB!!!!!!!!!

in the nfl all games are big but this is not 'big' in the sense you are aking the question.

having said that, a win is a win and is important and 'big'
