It’s Time to Stop Underrating Dak Prescott

There is a significant gap in arm talent, as you rightly remind us (more or less daily).

But then if that were all there is to being a QB Montana couldn’t have carried Marino’s jock.

There isn't a single skill required to play NFL QB that Prescott is better at.

I’ll let you go away and have your morning coffee. Should help you dissipate the fogginess.

Give Wentz a full training camp and preseason and let him play with the Cowboys and he's the talk of the entire league last year.

Give Prescott almost no training camp or preseason, put him on the Eagles and tell him the week of the season opener that he's the starter and he's probably out of the league and in prison by now.

Again, it requires understanding the game not simply waving pom poms.

If “ifs” and “buts” were bruises and cuts, we’d all look as beat up as you’re looking in this thread.

,,,,,,,,:lmao:,,,,OTAY!o_O

Hope yer' full of this unbridled exuberance on today's game thread:thumbup:

“As NFL.com’s Matt Harmon points out, Prescott’s completed 48.9 percent of his tight-window throws (defined as less than 1 yard of separation) this year, best in the NFL.

On throws 20-plus yards downfield, Prescott is 10 of 22 with three touchdowns, no picks, and a 131.6 passer rating, per Pro Football Focus, second behind Alex Smith. A full 63.5 percent of his total passing yards have come before the catch—third-most behind Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson.”

Man, Imagine if he actually had arm talent.

You'e a pom pom waving wentz fan boy. No different than the "Romo homo's" or the "Dak is God" crowd.

And that is a bit unfair.

Romo was about a tragic figure that you could construct.

But his career was torpedoed by poor talent acquisition.

I hated the things he did. The turnovers, the INTs.

But he did that under the framework of trying to win.
An apologist for a "tragic" figure who was paid handsomely and adored by those satisfied by great personal stats for Romo, then pix city in Romo's December swoons, then his admonitions, on cue, that "We have to get better."
No, lad, that is not unfair. That is the sum of our tragedy (the fans) for 2 lousy playoff wins in 11 years. Those are facts. You can assign blame all day for lack of talent around him, but those are the tragic facts --- for us.

Love Dak
But today vs Atlanta without a real run game or dominate oline for a change, he's getting a slight glimmer of Tony had to deal with for several years.
Take those two gifts away and the job is much tougher.

Still love the guy, though

Team game, my brothers

Tony had a better Dez (when Dez ran routes and could jump for endzone tds) and a younger Witten.

True!
Not sure Dez ever ran good routes, but both he and Witten were better, younger.

At least the 2017 defense is a bit better, though not as much today

The irony of this statement is that Risen Star is the lass on the right:

I don’t hate many people but Romo haters are one of them. However it does show the ignorance of those that do hate on him. You can just ignore those folks because they do not know football.
