If I'm Jerry in looking for every way I can to screw the Goodell and the marketing of the NFL over. This is getting ridiculous, the cowboys get screwed every chance the league gets, matter of fact I'd be on the horn with cable to start my own tv channel and screw the NFL network. Compete with this female dogs. Freaking freaking freaks.

Jerry had his own tv channel and the league took it down in 06.

You and many others are forgetting jerry's golden rule of life...never get mad at your own money.

The dallas rams game tomorrow will most likely have huge tv ratings from this today.

Is this the most players the Cowboys have ever had suspended at one time...in a single season...wonder what NFL team holds the record for most players suspended I n a single season.

Wilson, Irving, Zeke, Caroll, Moore, Gregory....?

Even the DA concluded something happen and the medical evidence concluded that but didn't think he could get a conviction in a court of law on contradicting statements, that's HE SAID<, SHE SAID.. the NFLPA and Zeke's lawyers are the one contending she lied........The NFL doesn't need to meet that burden....this is NOT a criminal court, this is the league code of conduct policy where you only need 50.1% belief he did it, END OF STORY

Actually her friend is another who has said she lied. This isn't some made up fantasy by Elliott and his attorneys. HER OWN FRIEND HAS CALLED INTO QUESTION THE ALLEGED VICTIM'S CREDIBILITY.

Any idea how long it typically takes or what the process is?

"Elliott has three business days to file notice of appeal, and a hearing must be scheduled within 10 days of receipt of the notice, according to Article 46 of the collective bargaining agreement, which governs appeal of commissioner discipline."

So I have to imagine that this is all settled well before week one.

It's in the letter to Elliott you keep linking as proof of your positions. Did you even read the letter?

Page 5, it's #2 under the findings of the Commissioner.

You assume there is more evidence out there. If Elliott is confident there is not and wants to fight this, there's no downside. Your entire position here as to what Elliott should do or not do is based on the assumption that he's 100% guilty. That's your first problem.

He's not going to face banishment on this one incident if he appeals, that what point of my statement, not future events, ofcourse someone could be banished, like if he murdered someone

The appeal will be, but the following court matter won't.

But then he will file a Federal appeal and that will take months

He will have to get a stay or injunction to keep playing but with charges this serious that is almost guaranteed

Hardy's friend said nothing happened too.

I read the report. It doesn't refute what I said.

For one, the events on the 22nd clearly call into question her credibility. If she lied about the events of the 22nd, any logical person can conclude it's possible she lied about the other nights as well. Further, we have a signed witness statement refuting the claim that the only incident she got into was just someone pulling her hair. Again, any logical person would again conclude there is a real credibility issue here.

Here's essentially what the league has said. They have claimed this girl has injuries and while they can't prove with certainty Elliott did it, they believe Elliott did it and it's up to Elliott to prove he didn't do it and explain away her injuries.

Here's a key quote:

"there is no dispute that you and Ms. Thompson were together on the dates identified, and no evidence to suggest that anyone else could have caused those injuries."

What the NFL is saying is we know you were with Ms. Thompson those days and we believe those injuries are from those days and now it's up to you to tell us how she got those bruises if she didn't get them from you.

That's absurd.

Agree 100% ....if I could 'like' this post five more times, I would (LOL) . Other words it's a LAZY piece of work by the NFL. Either factually prove the case or get out..........

The league did not say he could face banishment, show me the report, didn't happen, that's someone on the media

The more this is dragged out, the more evidence that was collected will get leaked, like medical photographic evidence like the Hardy case or the Ray Rice video and that will only be worse for Zeke...take your punishment and move on because the DA might reopen the case based on the NFL investigation......

Ezekiel Elliott Suspension Letter Details Actions, Warns of Potential Future Ban

A letter sent to Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott by the National Football League concerning his six-game suspension detailed alleged domestic violence toward former girlfriend Tiffany Thompson and warned he could face severe discipline for future incidents.

Jason La Canfora‏ of CBS Sports passed along portions of the letter Friday, including a statement from the NFL that read: "On multiple occasions... you used physical force against Ms. Thompson."

I Ian Rapoport‏ of NFL Network noted the league told Elliott any more violations "may result in your suspension or potential banishment."

Mike Garafolo of NFL.com added the letter cited three examples of photographic evidence that showed the use of "physical force." In addition, Tom Pelissero‏ of NFL Network spotlighted comments from the case's prosecutor, who said "we generally believed her for all of the incidents."

The league can still hand down punishment for allegations, even if charges aren't filed for a legal case as was the situation with Elliott, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com. ESPN's Adam Schefter noted the running back is "expected" to file an appeal of the six-game ban.

In July 2016, Kate Hairopoulos of the Dallas Morning News passed along a statement from Stacy Elliott, the Cowboys star's father, about the situation.

"The reported allegations and Internet postings regarding our son are completely false," Stacy Elliott said. "Ezekiel has done nothing wrong. The police have investigated this matter, and eyewitnesses have verified the lack of any wrongdoing. The actual evidence in this matter clearly indicates what the real motivation was behind the police being called. We are confident that when the truth comes to light, it will reveal the falsity of these claims."

After Columbus, Ohio prosecutors opted against pursuing charges against Elliott last September, he said he was never overly concerned because he "didn't do anything wrong."

"I'm a target, that's what I've realized from all of this," he told reporters. "I've got to conduct myself that way so I can not have any distractions and I can just focus on ball."

If the NFL suspension is upheld on appeal, Elliott wouldn't be eligible to return until Week 8 when the Cowboys visit the Washington Commanders. They have a bye in Week 6.[/b]

The appeal will be, but the following court matter won't.

True, I think you are correct that the ultimate lawsuit will not be finally resolved by then. I have to believe that if they seek temporary injunctive relief (a TRO) staying enforcement of the suspension pending the court's eventual ruling, that application will also be decided by week one.

The interesting strategic course for Dallas, Elliott and his attorneys is whether in fact to seek a TRO (assuming the appeal is denied in whole or part). I suspect that they will.

The upside is that if the TRO application is successful he can play week one. But the potential downside is that if he wins a TRO, but the suspension is eventually upheld by the court, he will have to serve it towards the end of the season, and be lost for the stretch run (when Dallas plays three out of their last four on the road). If you go that route, you better darn sure go 4-2 or better in your first six games or it would have been a waste to forego serving the suspension and just getting it over with.

And in any court proceeding all of the facts will come out, some of which may not look pretty for EE (or the league for that matter).

Interesting times.
