It's October and the division is already lost

Semantics. If you want to deny that a lot of people have a tendency to overreact, particular about other teams in the division, have at it. In my experience it's a prevalent sentiment.

Now its semantics.

LOL.

If you want to say people overreact just say that. Giving examples that aren't true or don't make sense doesn't help your argument.

The change to 6 games for Brown was simply them trying to cover up a hole in their handling of Elliott. Nothing more, nothing less. I bet if say, AJ Green had been accused of DV instead of Elliott, the same thing would be going on. The league's action here isn't an anti-Cowboy thing. It's a "we've botched the hell out of these things and are getting killed over it, we can't let that happen again" thing.

I can buy that last statement. I do think it had to be a fairly high profile player though. Elliot came out at the wrong time.

It was true. There was a substantial contingent planning for Dallas to lose the division after the 11 game winning streak ended. I'm not sure why that's laughable for you.

Agreed.

IMO, it didn't matter who the next player was, as long as he was a big name in the NFL, they were going to burn him.

Because its not true. There was not a "substantial" contingent of fans here planning for the Cowboys to blow a 2 game lead with 3 games to go.

Sure, I suspect there were your very small handful of posters who always say the Cowboys are going to lose saying that, but the vast majority of people here still acknowledged the Cowboys were in pretty good shape for the division being up 2 with 3 to go.

Again with semantics. It seems like you're quite invested in protecting this non-existent entity. Carry on in your delusions

And what is so appealing about turning a blind eye? Are you going to continue to talk roses and cool aid when reality dictates that's not the case?
Because the same few, whiny, posters keeping crying and whining about the same stuff, over and over. Do you think you're pointing out some sort of secret about the team that I and other fans on here don't see? Other than to vent over disappointment, what's the point? The negative nancies on here keep rehashing the same, obvious points continuously. Yea, I know the Cowboys are struggling right now, but I'm not gonna whine and cry and demand "we get a real gm" or we haven't won a Super Bowl in 20 years. I look for positives and try to find ways for the team to improve.

This forum can be cathartic on the negative comment side. I'd never say 90% of the stuff I say in here to my Patriot friends.

It's not semantics. I am not sure you even know what that word means.

You made a statement that a "substantial" number of fans basically thought the Cowboys were going to blow their divisional lead after losing to the Giants the 2nd time last year. That's not a true statement. It's not semantics. It's just an overexaggeration on your part to try to make your point stronger.

I have a way for the team to improve.

Figure out why they suck at player personnel decisions, especially in FA. Also, probably get a few new coaches, mostly on defense.

You shouldn't be. My usage is apt and familiarity with the English language isn't among my weaknesses. Of course that's not why you're saying it.

Substantial is a subjective definition anyway, hence the semantics. Think whatever you want. Boring, pointless conversation.

Don't be bitter that your exaggerations got called out.

Further, at the end of the day, no one should be surprised or bothered that people are upset about the season, how teams in the division are faring, etc.

This is not an uncommon event for any fanbase in any sport, especially for a team that was expected to be much better than they are.

In that draft, I wanted him to be a Patrick Peterson type of near-guaranteed Star CB, but he just wasn't.

Zeke:
Pro Bowl (2016)
First-team All-Pro (2016)
PFWA All-Rookie Team (2016)
NFL rushing yards leader (2016)

Runner up to Dak for Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year.

PFWA Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The Professional Football Writers of America came out with its Rookie of the Year honorsTuesday, and the winners shouldn't be a surprise.
Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott took Offensive Rookie of the Year and overall Rookie of the Year, while Chargers pass rusher Joey Bosa won the defensive honor.

Put Zeke on a team with a poor to average line and he doesn't get any of those awards. I would take Bosa over Zeke all day every day as well.

That would have been a no brainer if Bosa was there. I was "OK" with Elliott over Ramsey although I still think they should have taken Ramsey.

But passing on Bosa would have been insane.

LOL....Yep and it doesnt seem to get fixed. When it gets fixed we wont whine and cry anymore. Simple logic.

As far as a GM I like what the Cowboys have done in the draft. As far as improving the team, that means evaluation who sucks and getting rid of those players. Are you pretending you dont have to do that? Is talking about who sucks gonna make you cry?
