The meetings that lie ahead between Dak and Wentz will prove interesting, however, it's now quite evident that Wentz has come into his own as Philly's QB, now that he has the help he sorely required at the receiver positions. By all appearances, the upcoming games with Philly should be barn burners, no doubt about that.
I fear that our defense will be ill-prepared to defend their offense as aptly as their defense will be prepared to cope with our offense. As much as it bothers me to admit as much, Philadelphia's defense is significantly superior to ours in their ability to play soundly vs. both the run and the pass. Sadly for us, all in all, they've come a long way toward improving their performance over what they were last year.
To be totally honest, I surely wouldn't be betting the barn upon our chances of overcoming them to win the Eastern Division. Needless to say, it's certainly not written in stone but all indications of our future success seem to bear an ominous appearance at this juncture. Our defense will be obliged to better itself considerably in due time. Let's just hope things change substantially to turn things into our favor. Let's face it -- right now, dark clouds are looming ahead.
