Yeah like the offensive lineman treat him with kid gloves get a clue please this is football.

It's protect yourself at all times no matter where you're playing
Do you think Micah knows the plays, shifts, blocking etc? Should they replace Gallop with Bland who is a better athlete? Spending time trying to get Micah integrated to the offense sounds ridiculous at this point of the season. Get a clue please, this is football.

Hunter Luepke ran for 24 TDs in college and the Cowboys still didn't trust him as a goal line RB, especially now after the fumble. It's not easy to just plug and play anyone

I've been thinking about this for a while and I believe not necessarily in the Green Bay game but if we make it to the NFC championship against the 49ers Micah Parsons should play running back on offense.
In a limited role
We are going to need a power running game to win that game and he is our Eric Dickerson he played running back in high school he has four three speed in a 240 lb body.
And he is by far the best athlete on our team if we get that far I think it's time to pull the stops out and make him our Derrick Henry.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he is a stronger runner than Pollard.
This along with the fact that Micah wants to be great wants to be the greatest player to play the game this would give him that opportunity to play both ways and I don't think we'd be disappointed it could take us over the top.

A couple successful runs from Micah straight arming guys into the ground and at worst he would be the ultimate decoy when he came in the game every eye on defense would be on him.

Thoughts and please no cry babies telling me that he's going to be worn down and it'll be too much for him Chuck bednarek played linebacker and center game after game I'm sure Micah could do this for two games
Lol! Another one of those post that makes you want to thank your lucky stars Jerry Jones is in charge!
“Let’s have the generational pass rusher play RB because I heard he did it in highshool”!!!

No I want to win and get to the super bowl there's no experiment about it.
Hand the ball to our best athlete who's bigger stronger and faster than anybody else we have playing running back and has previously played the position.

Or roll over in the fetal position and let Pollard get knocked over like a bowling pin
it is an experiment. a player who hasn't played RB since HIGHSCHOOL, so about 4 years of college and 3 years in the pros. doesn't know the offensive blocking scheme or offensive play calling. the MOST IMPORTANT player on defense and you want to put him in the back field. and chance getting him hurt!!!

I bet you tried this in Madden NFL, it worked so you think it works in the real world.

this is not Madden NFL. it doesn't work this way. and yes, other teams have done it. as a gimmik play about 0.0000001% of the total plays in NFL history.

this is not going to determine if we win or lose this game. btw, the running issues is not with RBs, its the OL. unless you intend to say you want him to play OL!!!!!

unbelievable

Well my brother I am hoping the coaching staff thinks of a few things too and just doesn't March the same stale game plan out against the 49ers and hope for a different outcome.

I just think it's time to pull the stops out show him something they've never seen . I can see Micah taken off and ripping a run looking just like Eric Dickerson.
so your solution to beating the niners is to make Parsons into a RB and have him play both ways the whole game!!!! awsome.

Madden NFL for sure. maybe you want to install some chips in Parson and connect your controller to him and manage his running through the defense

Sooooooo let me get this correct. You want to take arguably the best defensive player in the league and make him a part time running back? This sets him up for cheap shots.. hip drop tackles.. dirty players diving at his legs. Come on you guys you have go over some of these scenarios in your head before you hit the create thread button.. :D :D :D :D

He may not be one at the moment but in high school he was a great running back.
I understand that but my premise is that he cannot play iron man football.
He already has enough burden to bear, think about being held back on every play and trying to run through it.
HUmmm maybe you are on to something...

Agreed he has an extremely tough job and I'm not saying that he should be our featured back and get 20 touches a game.

I'm saying in these playoff games especially against the 49ers if he got maybe three touches and maybe was brought in for a decoy on a few more it might open something up for us I'm open for trying something different because everything we've tried up to now with our running game has failed miserably

I have gone over in my head very carefully and it's a calculated risk if we end up playing the 49ers in the NFC championship game using Micah for three plays and a decoy on a few more is not putting him at a severe risk.

Yes if you're starting the season and expect him to have 10 touches a game that is an undue risk but for one game to get us to the super bowl and give our anemic running game a shot in the arm I think it's worth it.

You may need to read over everything I've posted and the scenario before you hit the reply button. As I've stated many times it's specifically for the 49ers game if we play them in the NFC championship and a limited amount of touches.

What is it worth to get to the super bowl because the odds of getting there through San Francisco with our running game on the road is slim to none without some type of change.

Threads like this are why other fan bases think we are dumb. Lol.
No other fan bases think we're dumb because we continue to do the same stupid things and expect different results

We know we have to go through San Francisco to get a super bowl and we continue to go there with an anemic running game turn the ball over and get penalized. Something needs to change

This is the worst idea I’ve ever seen put forward in any fan forum of any team I follow.

No I think we have plenty of good wide receivers if anything we are short on secondary players if gallop was a great secondary player I wouldn't be against letting him try that but I think we got plenty of wide receivers

Yeah I'm sure it would be next to impossible to get him up to speed since he defends every running play we do in practice it would be impossible for him to figure this out. He went to college and played running back in high school
You need to get a clue it's football not rocket science.

I see a running game just starting to evolve with the OL resurgence taking place.
Pollard and Dowdle are becoming a one two punch right under are eyes and some are not seeing it yet.

That would be great to see this week against Green Bay if they can be successful.

Why stop there. Let’s really trick it up.
Send Micah, Tyler smith, and Steele over to the refs at the same time and really confuse the niners as to what is coming!!!
