Credit for Romo goes 50-50 Payton & Lee since Parcells really had no use for him,

And you know this how? All BP ever did was talk up Romo and kept telling people during his pressers to keep an eye on this kid. He kept him over QC, Hutch and later Henson who we gave up a third round pick to acquire.

I don't like McCarron or Mettenberger. At best they look like career back ups. Mettenberger and Murray will definitely need a year to groom since they both have knee injuries.

I also don't like the idea of trading a 1st round pick to get Cousins. He isn't worth that much.

If Dallas does something stupid like trading their first pick for a QB, might as well go for Teddy, Hundley or Mariota. I would even take a flyer on Hogan from Stanford.

Dear god no 1st rounder for Cousins. I would not even give up a 3rd for him. What did you see Sunday that warrants a high draft pick? He has been exposed the last few starts. Commanders would be laughing to the bank if they got a 1st rounder for him.

Also no to AJ McCarron. Not a franchise QB at all. He's the product of a good college program they have him in. Any QB could have did what he did there.

The time is now more than ever. He is in his 30s and now is having more work done to his back. Not good at all. Still hated that Jerry felt the need to give him a big contract extension.

What scares me is what this franchise has drafted for QBs to hopefully be our future. It's mind numbing how bad that list is. The last few being Quincy and McGee.

They have to get this right....

Welcome to 2010...

This comes from Romo who to this day will tell you it was all Payton & Lee, if Henson would have shown even a little something i believe Romo would've been booted.

If we do get another QB we need to draft one and not trade for one.

It's important to have 3-4 cheap years on the contract.

They are similar, but Manziel is shorter, lighter and has less arm strength.

I'm not sure about the arm strength, I've seen him put it on guys. He's not 6-6 so people think he doesn't have the best arm, but it has looked impressive whenever I've watched.

He also throws from weird angles a lot which can affect the velocity.

A lot of us here have mentioned David Lee but I don't recall Romo mentioning it. Doesn't mean he (Romo) doesn't credit Lee; I think we can all agree that he was very good for a young Romo. What I do recall is Romo telling everyone he wasn't ready and couldn't even throw the ball properly. He told people the best thing that happened to him was Testaverde because he showed Romo how to prepare the right way.

And as for Henson, you can say that with anyone. People play for their jobs every year. But BP started Henson and yanked him after the half just to prove a point to Jones. Henson was not a BP guy and Henson will tell you in interviews he never felt he got the chance in Dallas. Reason being it was obvious to an experienced coach like BP what he had in Henson. BP made his decision and he made it early; you just weren't paying attention. If you also recall people asked him why Romo didn't go to NFL Europe and BP stated that Romo could learn more at VR. Guess who went to NFL Europe? Henson, the 3rd round pick while the UFA stayed at VR..

And I don;t disagree that David Lee was a good QB coach but it doesn't matter what you and I think. Jerry Jones thought he was so critical to Romo's success that he let David Lee leave for the college game after BP left, only to be rehired by Parcells as Miami's QB coach once he took the Miami job 2 years later. We then got Wade Phillips and Wade Wilson as QB coach. Romo didn't stand a chance........

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a QB as early as the 2nd round if it meant we didn't draft a TE.

Give me Hundley or Manziel and I'm ready to roll. It's time to move on and away from this core of players. Time to cut Ware, Austin, Carr and a few others. Time to re-start. It is a chance for a new beginning.

Unless you think Romo is done we shouldn't be using a top pick on QB in this upcoming draft.
